I think Mach will forever be my favorite! I love his dynamic with EVERY other Drive character. His sibling relationship with Kiriko, his 'brother-in-law' connection with Shinnosuke, his heartbreaking friendship with Chase, his abusive relationship with his father. Not many secondary riders have been woven into their show to that degree. It all culminates into one the best, engaging final fights in ALL of Toku. The music & choreography for that final parking garage fight where he unlocks Mach Chaser against Gold Drive is...chef's kiss.👌

I love how Banjou Ryuga is so essential to the plot of Build and in a narrative sense really tells us where the story begins and ends. In a lot of ways he’s almost every bit of the main protagonist as Sento.

In my opinion, Vulcan's memory erasing doesn't really count as whitewashing humagear's presence for me. He had already came over to the humagear's side after being saved by them, so it didn't really threw a wrench in that part of his character arc. I think it's just meant to show how much of a dick Gai was for manipulating and weaponizing people. At least, that's my opinion.

@@dragostorm259 the issue i have with the fake memory is they dont do anything with his real memories, at least via his family, they just make him check on them and thats it, lots of missed potential tp expand his character through a family route and how that couldve tied him and Naki much deeper

Personally, I don't really mind cause his character arc about finding a goal, a dream for himself and becoming independent from the hatred from his fake memories is complete. I don't feel like he needs a new conflict with the family to resolve especially when the latter half of the show needed to focus on the metsubojinrai side's development.

@@rose-coloredrabbit4559 i get that but that then returns the problem of "why retcon his memory in the first place?" especially when he doesnt gain anything from it or lose anything if it didnt happen, thats why its flawed to me, whats the point? i like Fuwa but he isnt that deep of a character most claim out to be, his actor really does stellar work to make me still like and enjoy him

@ I think the retcon serves more as a catalyst for Yaiba leaving Zaia and extending Gai's asshole-sery. I respect your opinion about it but i still find it interesting and thought-provoking as it is. From Fuwa's pov, he's finding out that the basis for all of his growth and decisions is a lie which is psychologically traumatising and violating. Yet he still powers through to stick to it cause he believes all the lessons he's learned isn't a lie.

Whenever we get new riders, I try to update the songs for Grand Zi-O and Geiz Majesty to include reiwa riders, but at this point I've kinda given up lol. There's probably gonna be a new song in 20 years. Also I'm just realizing while watching this that Ibuki wasn't included in the Geiz Majesty song even though Hibiki is in the Grand Zi-O song. NEVER MIND Ibuki is definitely in the song!
