All the people having complaints about the Rogue's engine acceleration speed need to watch this video. Beating the Rav4 or CR-V to the next stop light is not the purpose of this type of vehicle.

Love the comment that you took it to a place we most likely would never have to go. Note: I live in the Ozark Mtns. This is the type of terrain our road conditions get in. Six miles in, mud, snow, and ice. :) Rogue did well! We are considering this vehicle.Will have to wipe off the cameras from mud. Reminds me of my Xterra. Where is the spare tire????

Just got 2015 Rogue AWD. I think mine has a problem. Pushed AWD lock button and AWD LOCK indicator light turns on but disappears in seconds and will not stay on. Green AWD indicator light never turns on. When driving the car in snow it feels like the car is only 2wd because I would be sliding all over the place as if I do not have awd at all. Please Help.

That lock is designed only for going under 20MPH- anything over, it'll disengage and if you persists then you'll blow the transmission and possibly lose control of the vehicle itself. Use it only in the snow or icy condition.

Nice review, I have a Ford Ranger 4x4 2010 and want too get the Rogue. I do a lot of Hunting and Fishing and need 4 wheel drive. If I bought a Rogue I would need a lift kit too get it up a few inches higher. I'm getting older and need a little more comfort. I wonder how the Rogue would ride with a lift kit. thank's Dave for all your great reviews.

if during the course you exceeded 30 miles per hour and you're nowhere to this that the four wheel drive automatically disengages... numerous times I saw the ass kicking out which explains that the rear tires aren't actually rotating when necessary and twice in your video when going up hill I notice that exact same situation occur which tells me that only the front wheels were engaged. let us know if you can recall anything during this test drive. yet another complaint that I have with this vehicle myself is stopping power in slippery snowy conditions. all season tires just don't seem to cut it. it could be due to the designing of the anti-lock braking systems the weight distribution of the car or many other factors. Comparable to other vehicles made in 2015 not only from the same lineup but also other classes stopping power has been a very important feature and when it comes to this particular car stopping power in slippery and snowy conditions is typically horrendous. short of that I absolutely and very much enjoy this vehicle on a day to day basis. I highly suggest that you skip the SV model and jump straight to the SL model it's not that much more money and yet you get nice rims perforated leather seats and a lot of bells and whistles that you normally wouldn't have not to mention the panoramic roof that a lot of people seem to enjoy was sitting in the backseat Plus that and many more.

nypctechman the oem tires on most current crossovers/suv’s are really meant to improve fuel economy, reduce road noise etc. The ability for these treads to shed snow and mud and maintain constant contact and traction is pretty poor. Nissan’s “VehicleDynamicControl” probably adversely affects the AWD Lock performance. It acts like a limited slip or traction control system. I turn OFF “traction control” when i have the AWD lock on and my Rogue feels torquey and tanky. Winter is coming and Im looking at 29” BF Goodrich or 29” Yokohama IceGuards. Ive owned a Jeep and now a Nissan, and AWD/4WD means nothing if youre running highway tires🤷‍♂️

When you saw AWD is "locked," do you mean that it will never switch to just FWD? Or that all 4 wheels spin together? Like 4WD
@johnpa2006
@johnpa2006 5 жыл бұрын
The awd lock button puts power to all 4 wheels up to about 15mph, then it turns off, to just FWD. From what I read and watched on the Nissan tutorials.

Needs more passing power on the freeways / highways. Considered reliable so far. 4 star ALG Rating. You can setup walls with the Divide N' Hide to keep stuff from moving around. The 40/20/40 2nd row is nice for long objects. The 3rd row is useless, you can adjust the 1st & 2nd rows for legroom but you have no place for your feet under the back of the second row. I would delete the moonroof on the 'Family Package' which includes the 3rd row, and raise the 2nd row up.

I think it needs the approaching angle in the front bumper. Nissan eliminate typical front bumper shape of most crossovers oriented for some off roading (look at the CR-V, Rav4 or Tucson to know what I am talking about), because Nissan is orienting their vehicles to more urban or on-tarmac use.

@Naldynator
@Naldynator 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it does have traction control; and, yes, it is used to control power to the wheels with grip. As you can see from the video above, and the countless off-road videos of the Rogue/X-Trail, it's definitely NOT a crappy all-wheel-drive system. In fact, it's one of the better ones, and certainly better than Honda's and Toyota's. So, I don't know where you're coming from with that comment of it being crappy. Must be a fan of some other auto manufacturer which, for some strange reason, seems to prevent many from acknowledging the qualities of other car companies.
