If you are worried about running out of gear in 4th, put a gsr 4th gear in that tranny and call it a day. Plus the gsr 4th bridges the gap between the b16 4th and the ls 5th and makes it feel like the transmission could have come that way from honda.

Quick input on your catch can setup. I would get rid of the atmospheric vent on the catch can and pick up Level 7's part to convert it to -10 and run this line back into your intake track pre-compressor so you have some vacuum helping evacuate the case/valve cover. The catch can setup you designed is really just a glorified valve cover vent without this. Also B series motors need help venting the crankcase more than the valve cover (I understand these are related through oil passages within the block, but there is a difference). I would recommend getting a PCV/breather box delete to -10 for the back of the block and running that to one of the two inlet ports on the catch can. You don't need two -10 lines from the valve cover like you have it currently - one is adequate. With the design I described, you will have vacuum on the case/valve cover at all times and both the valve cover and block will be adequately vented.
@GIZZMOTORSPORTS9 ай бұрын
Love the vids but the build could be tweaked. That "Downhill pathway" to the catch can, no "pooling in the lines" is correct. Trust me, If you beat on this you will be draining that can daily if you leave it there. You have a ton of room in that engine bay to mount the can higher, ideally higher than the part of the engine you're venting from. A bit more difficult since your vent is at the very top now, but it's fixable.
@Bob-ir4lr9 ай бұрын
100% should be at highest point possible also tapping off valve cover breather using a PCV valve is a good way to do it. Theres a writeup on HondaTech for it.

The advantage of a CAN bus WBO2 is not signal speed, it's accuracy. If anything, the analog signal will be faster, but the voltage drop due to wire length and changing loads will mean what the ECU receives isn't necessarily what the WBO2 output. That's not an issue with CAN bus.
@niall219 ай бұрын
If a super low power signal like that is dropping voltage then you must be running like 40ga wire. I think it really just comes down to ADC processing/ECU architecture, and having a standalone device do all the work and send a CAN message instead of the ECU processor doing the work could def make a difference. But I don't think it would ever make a huge difference either way

Question for y'all: I noticed you tend to replace most of the things that matter when you buy a car to build such as wheels tires suspension brakes engine trans etc. etc. Why not buy more rolling chassis type cars or cars that are mechanically totaled if everything that came on the car is coming off anyway? I know for example you have said before that a CRX is just too expensive, but you aren't keeping the stuff that came on a running CRX anyway, so... CRX parts cars definitely aren't expensive.
