Pro tip. If you need to clean the cooler take it to a radiator shop. They will boil it out and pressure test it.

Great video as always, I've used your's for some things that I have done to my 07 6.7 that I still have and drive daily, except for the last month when it decided to go into 4th gear limpmode. So we tracked it down to a bad TCM and a bad Plug. Plug is changed now waiting on the new TCM. I just can't believe they would want you to pay for shipping back that blown turbo. But like you said life goes on and I've cut my losses on my share of stuff. Glad to see you posting again, waiting on the next one. Keep it up, and your garage looks like mine ! 😂😅

My 2016 has an aftermarket bumper an for whatever reason I didn’t get the front air valance, put back on after the bumper swap, and I really didn’t know what it look like until I saw it on yours, so yeah, good job buddy. Good content, I’m surprised that you haven’t done the grid heater delete yet but no better time than now while you have it apart this far. I did the grid heater delete on my 2017 Ram when I first got it I installed the Banks Gen2 grid heater delete kit when I first started the engine knew right away that it will run better, can hear the turbo spooling which is music to my ears lol Also i have been a truck mechanic for 30 plus years and I have only seen 1 turbo grenade and what a mess lol So I agree with you on what needs to be done before reassembly starts but looking forward to seeing the truck when it’s finished 👍🏻 Failed to mention on my last response that I share my Birthday 🎂 with the U.S.M.C

Grid heater delete is a good mod for sure. I haven't met anyone who experienced the nut dropping into the cylinder but I'm sure it has happened. Only reason I have done it sooner was cause I not reason to take it off until now lmao. Happy belated bday man!! You got a good bday date haha 💯🙌🏾🙌🏾

Also man you could still run that smeding turbo as a compound setup with your 2nd gen swap. And i know how much you miss the compounds you had on the 3rd gen. On my 4th gen , when I did the banks monster ram. The fuel lines were way way over torqued. It was a battle getting them off.

@EVERYTHANGDIESEL The reason I chose banks was because I live in Canada and I wanted to keep the heater. -40 here quite often. Had mine done illusion orange to match my rpi diesel cold air intake. Plus, it's banks... Can't go wrong getting parts from them.
