John Wick 1 was more... emotionally driven, but ended on a high note, hence why the movie's box art was mainly blue. John Wick 2 was just fun... until the end where he lost and now is on the run. Hence why chapter 2 is a black and RED theme. Blue = Wick winning Red = Wick losing Why is Chapter 3 purple? Its a mix of the two to represent the uncertain fate that awaits for John Wick. Epic.

Was also given to Italians on the Axis Side fighting partisans. I know that because i'm german and my paternal grandfather was also awarded one and he also got one without swastika which were handed out to Axis WW2 veterans in 1957 so they can wear their medals in public, including during mixed WW2 meetings between Axis and Allied WW2 veterans. The guy is Italian in the movie i assume, does the movie ever show something that explains why the gun salesman wears that? Just wondering if there was any reason he's wearing this

15:53 Honestly, if the way you describe why John Wick says to Santino "My hands." is true, it is a callback in my opinion. Santino was excited about how John could kill him because he loved the idea of "The Boogeyman" who can kill anyone with anything, like a murderish macgyver. However in the hotel he believed either John would kill him with his hands and he'd have time to get away or that he wouldn't in the hotel. He just, gravely misunderstood John's actual point.

@joshuamarshalljr.51782 жыл бұрын
It’s called a press check. Older 1911s especially kimbers have a chance to miss the first round due to tension in the magazine. This is subverted either by leaving one round out or the press check to ensure it picked up the first round and not slip over it. Side note, how many world wars did that German/Austrian engineering win?

@@joshuamarshalljr.5178 Come on man...us Americans get enough trouble these days. I suppose the American engineering of the 1911 won WW2? Throughout most of WW1 and WW2 our standard infantry soldier was not issued a sidearm. Now if they came up with one at some point ok...but they were not issued one. Serg and up generally had one as well as Officers. Certain types of units were also issued sidearms such as the Rangers...which is why you always see them in the movies as the movies hardly ever follow the schmuck lowly infantry. The 1911 barely played a role in WW2. If anything you might credit the Garand with winning the war...but he was Canadian. Perhaps the designer of the Sherman...with all the parts in that tank you end up with 10 different countries playing a role in it's design (or at least the guys were from that many countries). Oddly enough German nor Austrian engineering won a war and they for damn sure didn't lose either war. Nor did Japanese, Russian or American engineering win or lose either war. In both cases it was quite simply America and the Allies being able to out produce the Axis in both wars. Combine that with the biggest problem the Axis had in both wars....manpower and they were destined to lose both wars.

John wick is kind of like the fight club for this generation. All the dude bros love it for the badass aspects while also appealing to the film nerds for all its depth and symbolism.
@Shaltinanwenor5 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure it appeals to the "dudebros", Keanu Reeves as John Wick isn't the stereotypical "alpha male" action hero (think Arnie in Predator or Terminator, or anything Fast & Furious). He just wants to be left the fuck alone and live normal, boringly routine life, but he won't take shit when push comes to shove. And while it's a bit over the top at times, it's also strikingly more realistic than the run-off-the-mill spectacular action movies that will do retarded shit just to be more cinematic, and ends up being a lot classier for it When it comes to action movies, John Wick is basically the M-B AMG C63 S coupé to F&F's Chevy Camaro

The subway scene might have been possible with sub-sonic rounds and a decent silencer. This accounts for the lack of the quick snap of a projectile going supersonic. Accounting for the general din of a subway station and apathy of strangers, its not that unrealistic.

I remember the director saying they put that scene in because people are so apathetic on the NY Subway that you could get shot and die, but people would just look the other way and step around you. The implication is that while people would notice a shootout on the Subway, nobody would react to it. It was basically very subtle satire.
