Everything I Did To Get Back In Shape In Four Weeks // My Diet & Everything I Ate, What I Did For Fitness & My Favorite Workouts, & What Happened During Quarantine // Sanne Vloet #Wellness
Hi guys,
I wasn’t really sure about this video at first, because well we all have our insecurities whether its with our self image, our confidence, or anything else that can us to not feel great about ourselves. As a model you always want to be in shape for work, but for the first time in our lives the world shutdown. Things just didn’t really feel right which had an effect on me both physically and mentally (mental health is so important, who agrees).
When I started to realize I wasn’t feeling healthy, which was about three weeks into quarantine, I decided to jump into a IG Live a few times a week with my friend Sami which was called #MeTime, which I desperately needed! It was the push and the motivation that got me going! I decided to film everything, every meal, every workout, everything I was doing, and by doing that I became more conscious of what I was putting into my body!
The main thing I want all of you to take away from this is about how you FEEL! You can feel great no matter your height or weight, but if you aren’t putting foods that will fuel your body properly it’s going to affect your mood (sorry Max & Jason), your skin (oh btw guys Ize Skincare is finally launching TODAY, I hope all of you decide to try it out), and your motivation to do things. That coupled with being stuck inside for weeks was a big challenge for me because I love being outdoors!
I hope all of your are feeling great and I hope that all of you are on your wellness journey eating the right foods for you, taking the necessary steps to show your body love, and NEVER forget to take care of your mental health. Luckily I have Jason (@jasongorskie) who is my mental coach and partner in our school project!
I haven’t slept much the last few days because Izé is launching TODAY this morning! To everyone that is planning on supporting us THANK YOU, I still can’t believe it’s happening and I can’t wait for all of you to try it out! Make sure to visit us izeskincare.com tomorrow morning starting at 10am New York time!
Sorry for the long description today! For anyone who is struggling with lack of motivation or who hasn’t had the results they want, I recommend you research food, and explore the different types of diets that are out there. I hope all of you are joining me on this little journey! I can’t believe that we are almost at 1 Million, it’s only been two years, and this community has turned into an army.
I love you all and just remember that feeling good is what matters most!
xx

The important thing about this video is the fact that she admits as a normal person that without physical activity and eating junk food she gains weight, like any other human being. Sometimes the girls, especially teenagers, think that models are born like this or that they never eat and that leads to a bad relationship with food. She says it is perfect: I did not feel well so I started eating healthier and doing more exercise, it's not about weight or image, it's about health and how to listen to your body.

There are lots of ‘get in shape’ videos and none of them are like this. They just say words like workout, eat less, drink this, do this, do that. But they don’t actually reach the audience. I feel like you actually talk about what can work and which mental state to have to do all that. You are not just saying what to do. You’re saying what worked for you. Also you are not showing just one recipe but lots of variations. This is a great video and actually motivates me.😊👏🏻👏🏻

The third part is all around cortisol. When you are stressed it's produced in higher amounts. Shortly, it gets fat around your belly, makes you feel hungry all the time and doesn't let muscle build up, keeping all the sugar in your blood. At its origin it's a good hormone, all it wants is too protect you. But the excess is incredibly harmful to the body, especially long term. So yes, meditate, sleep, get therapy, do whatever you need to keep it low.

It also looks like a lot of water too. Losing 5kg of pure fat within 2 weeks isn't that easy. So I guess, you gained a lot of water too, due to the things you ate - burgers etc. Processed food including a lot of simple sodium makes you maintain tons of access water.

This is honestly the best 'get into shape' video I've ever watched... and I've watched a lot. Thank you for giving us tips that aren't outrageously demanding, but rather gently reminding us to just LISTEN. Listen to our cravings, our emotions, our inner dialogue, and making choices that make us feel better rather than look better. Also reminding us to breathe. I've been having a lot of back pain too recently and it's no doubt stress-related as well...I'll have to look into that! Well done on making this video Sanne!

I really love that you promote healthy wellness and a balanced life. being more intuitive to my body and feeling good in my own skin is what I want to achieve this year so thank you for putting out positive messages through this channel🙏 also idk if this is appropriate thing to say but I noticed that your English speaking is getting so much better! you seems to be more comfortable speaking in front of the camera too!😄 much love xxx💕

For me, I would rather skip dinner than breakfast. If I don't eat at least an hour after I wake up I feel faint and my stomach hurts a lot. I tried intermittent fasting while my college was still open, but because I had to cycle there, which was half an hour, by the time I got to the first class I honestly thought I was going to faint. I think intermittent fasting could work when someone stays at home most of the time - like in this lockdown situation - but otherwise, it's too hard on the body.

rumi try eating diiner at 630 and nothing at all after , that way by next morning you have had at leat 12 hrs of int fasting . If you wake up later its a bonus .. this will make such a difference

Rumi Lilla Intermittent fasting is not hard on the body. You just have to pick an eating window that works for you. Clearly eating earlier in the day worked better for you which is fine.

I love how your nutrition plan is so balanced and you aren't so harsh on yourself but you listen to your body and also have a burger or sweets if you feel so! Amazing inspiration for that! This is what I have been trying to do during quarantine too and I have really been liking my results ! Stay safe xx

Hi Sanne, I lost 20lbs after watching one of your early videos 2 years ago. I've changed my diet and done core workout. Since quarantine I also gained some weight which doesn't make feel good. This is very timely posting. Your videos are always motivating and inspirational.

Hi Youn! Don't focus on the weight focus on how you feel. if you feel like maybe you aren't making the healthiest food options you can always ask yourself is there a healthier option? But don't worry this is a strange time where our mental health has been affected so just stay on your wellness journey! xx

i really appreciate you making this video because it's exactly how i've felt for quite a while. i got depressed and that combined with some health conditions meant i stopped moving as much as i used to and reached for easier, and faster, foods and i just don't FEEL good anymore. i really appreciate seeing someone talking about it from that point of view rather than just making changes because they want to look a certain way.

Thank you Sanne! I really enjoyed this video! There is so much negativity on the internet right now, in terms of losing weight fast and not doing enough. So thank you so much for being so down to earth, open, calm and realistic. You are the best and such an inspiration :) Hope you are well

Thank you so much Sanne, you made us realise that even models have periods down, and that if we fall down, we can always get up better than before. Also, lockdown was really stressful for all of us, so I feel less alone knowing that even you have experienced the same thing as me. Love you💕

Hi Sanne, I love that you are purely talking about FEELING GOOD! When I was young I was told I was overweight, but I played sports and I was fast and felt great. It had a bad effect on me, but if I had someone like you telling me what's important is FEELING GOOD not looks I would have been more comfortable.

Such an amazing video. I love the message you're spreading about the importance of mental health and not being hard on yourself. I think it is so hard in quarantine because we have so much time with our thoughts which allows us to fixate way too heavily on our body image and this can turn unhealthy really quick. You are so right that we need to relax and just find ways to enjoy a healthy lifestyle for the way it feels, and maybe our bodies will also change (but this shouldn't really be the main goal). Easier said than done but overall love your channel and this video!!!

This is so good! I love how adaptable this advice is. Not only that but it’s a very healthy approach to feeling good in your body. It’s refreshing to see content like this that is RELATABLE, rather than someone sharing their 6 day a week high intensity workout plan + strict diet to look a certain way rather than sharing something functional for overall wellness like you have done here. THANK YOU.

The connection between not being able to see results and stress and anxiety is cortisol. Cortisol prevents you from losing weight, especially belly fat. It's also why lacking sleep also has the same effect as your cortisol secretion increases when you don't sleep enough or well. Edit: Obviously I've simplified things for the purposes of this comment and there are a lot of other hormones and components going on but cortisol is a main one.

Sanne, the content of this video covers everything! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Timing of the day, Timing of the week, how to mix up work outs! Its perfect, with perfect timing being still stuck in the house in lock down! I spend more time at the fruit and vegetable stands, then cooking healthy. The problem is the lack of physical motivation due to the mental stress of what is happening globally. Your video even covered mental issues! Having the help of this video its now more possible to counteract that so thank you so much! Really great video!
