Sansa was smiling because she really thought that Joffery was going to spare Ned's life. She's very gullible at this age. And yes, the witch poisoned Drogo's wound because she hated the Dothraki.

The witch did not poison Drogo. He refused to take her advice, and then he died. She told Dany that she couldn't enter the tent, and she did it, inadvertently, but still. There is no reason to assume the witch actually killed Drogo.

Ned whispered to Yoren, when he was being brought up to Joffrey, to go get Arya at The Septor of Baelor. Yoren is in charge of bringing prisoners to the Nights Watch and was a friend of Ned Stark. Yoren is protecting Arya.

I absolutely LOVE the journey that Season One takes people on: the first few episodes you're like "okay, this is kinda cool, but there's a LOT of names and places and info to learn..." and then the next few eps you're like "Oo, this is picking up, I like a lot of these people, and the drama and mystery is spicy..." and then the final few episodes hit and you're like "HOLY SHIT, I NEED THE NEXT SEASON!"

To be fair, they never expected Tyrion to marry Tysha. Also, Jaime loves his little brother. He saw how down Tyrion was when all the girls fawned after himself and were grossed out by Tyrion. In earlier episodes Jorah tells Viserys that he got disinherited because he sold slaves and Ned Stark wanted to execute him but he fled and he's now Exiled. Then, he got a letter from Varys that he could return home and leave Daenerys, but he decided to save her from that guy who wanted to poison her.

I remember when I first saw Ned's death I was soooo surprised because like, throughout all of season 1 Ned is set up as the main character of the show. So I remember just thinking there was no way he was gonna die, something's going to come in last minute and save him. Especially him being portrayed by Sean Bean, who's such a renowned actor, I just thought for sure he would be in all of the seasons (I started watching just before season 7 came out). But the fact that he did die made me respect George R.R. Martin so much because it went against all of your expectations of standard fantasy story arcs and tropes. That the "hero" is just as mortal as everyone else.

So, in the book, each of these sections is from a character's perspective. In the case of Daenerys's part of this whole witch and Kal Drogo thing, her perspective makes it seem like the witch woman purposefully hurt her and the Kal, but I don't think that's the case. The woman told Danny multiple times that she shouldn't ask her to save the Kal and Danny made her do it. The witch woman wasn't free so she had to obey the command. Then she told Danny no one could enter the tent during the ritual, and Danny was brought in there anyway. I think what actually happened is the horse was supposed to pay for the Kal's life, but when Danny went into the tent, the spell took Danny's child instead and Danny blamed the witch. Also, the lore mentions there is a long history of miscarriages and babies being born malformed to Targaryens (mainly with scales or tails or other dragony things) so it's quite possible that even if Kal Drogo was never wounded, Danny still would have lost her baby. In any case, it's very interesting, but this is one of those scenes that is supposed to help you understand that our main characters are flawed in this show and their perception of events is not always accurate, even if we're rooting for them.

This is a popular misconception to pain dany as wrong for killing Merri the problem is that it's conformed she killed rhaego she admits to it herself because she thought it was the stallion many people take events at face value and miss the point Danys child was actually killed by Merri.

No one actually knows if Mirri made Drogo's wound worse. The fandom's guess in general is that she did try to help at first, but then saw Drogo's condition worsen, and took her opportunity for revenge and of preventing the birth of another horrifying conqueror.

I can't remember if this happened in the show but in the books, Drogo's people had stop treating the wound like she had instructed. They treated it how they would have if she wasn't there. That makes me believe she didn't intend for it to get infected.

Season 7 has some good moments, but it's too rushed. Only season 8 is bad. And it's not even that I don't like what happened, it's just that it was too rushed. [SPOILER] Season 8 should have been about Dany taking over Westeros and becoming a tyrant and we should have a season 9 where they face the White Walkers. They spent the whole show talking about the White Walkers and then we defeat them in 1 single episode. That's what bothered me the most.

By the way, Kate Caitlin Stark. She's also from Harry Potter. She played Hermione's mom in the last movie and that wildling girl with Brian was my girl Tonks from the 5th movie By the way, Danny was 13 when she married drug out in the books. She's a bit older here, but I don't think she was 18. Most of the kids in game of thrones in the books were about 3 years younger than they are on the TV show, so I would assume most of them are about 3 years older in the TV show. For instance, Brian was seven when pushed out the window

1) I’m pretty sure Miri Maz Dur (the witch lady) did in fact make Drogos wound fester, because you think surely he’s been cut before in battle and things and presumably the Dothraki don’t have many healers like to be tough or whatever so he might’ve not known what she was doing. 2) “I said that Joffrey was almost worse than the other king at such a young age and that has just demonstrated that I was correct in my thoughts” 26:21 oh my sweet summer child, you have no idea how correct you are 3) I can’t wait for you to watch more seasons! Re: point 1: In the book it's very clear that Drogo's death is his own fault, and Mirri really did try to heal him. He kept ripping off the poultices she applied because he didn't like how they itched, and smeared mud on his wounds instead. Drogo wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, and it was his own stupidity that killed him.

Daenerys is 13 when she marries Drogo in the books, but in the show she's 17. You misunderstood Tyrion's story. Jaime didn't intend for Tyrion to marry Tysha, he just thought it would be good for him to have his first time. Tywin was furious when he found out Tyrion had married a whore so he did a Tywin and he decided to make Tyrion watch as the guards fucked her. Jaime wouldn't do something like that to Tyrion, he's the one person in the family who actually loves him. In the book there is far more to this story, and the show cutting that is one of the biggest mistakes it made, but that's the situation as the show leaves it. A sept is what the religious buildings in the Faith of the Seven are called. Basically a church. They're seven-sided, hence sept. The Sept of Baelor is a sept built by a previous Targaryen king, Baelor the Blessed. It basically serves as Westeros' Vatican.

@@AmericanMumReacts SPOILERS FOR BRAD As far as Tyrion knows, it was true. Jaime tells him it wasn't and Tysha actually loved him when he helps him escape King's Landing. This turns Tyrion against Jaime, and it's the reason Tyrion does the thing he does at the end of season 4. From there Tyrion's character completely changes in the show from the books, because in the books Tyrion becomes a much worse person - he was already not a great one (in the show, he's basically treated as a good guy from the start, but this is not the same in the books), but this sends him off the deep end. Of course there's also another layer to this that maybe Tysha _didn't_ love Tyrion. It's an odd detail in the books that one of the things Tyrion remembers about the first time they slept together is that Tysha cried. Which, yes, could just be overstimulation, but it could also be that she didn't want to sleep with or marry him, but felt forced to because he was a lord and could have done anything to her if she refused. And if this is the case, finding this out could be the catalyst for Tyrion snapping out of his downward spiral and wanting to be a better person, or send him into even more of a spiral of self-loathing and make him even more vicious and callous. But that's all speculation.

poor Sansa is smiling at Ned because she actually believes that Joffrey is going to show him like, a REAL mercy 😫😭and just to add some salt in the wound, they had Ser Ilyn use Neds own sword, Ice, to carry out the sentence.. also, theres a little theory going around.. since 'only death can pay for life' alot of people say that Khal Drogo, Daenerys' Baby and the Witch Woman were the 3 deaths that paid for the lives of the 3 dragons!!! im not sure if thats totally true, but man if its not one really cool coincidence!!!
