All he knows is that Mater left his post and gave him bad information, even if it was on accident. Cars 2 fixed my parents marriage I’m actually not kidding. They were totally about to get a divorce and I really didn’t want that to happen so I begged them to take me to see Cars 2 just because that was out at the time. They sat apart from each other (which was not normal) with my little sister and I in between them. They both looked like they were going through a divorce when the movie started (you know, the glossy eyed, done with life sort of look) but by the end we were all joking and laughing as a family again for the first time in weeks! I don’t know, maybe it was just that we wanted to laugh again or maybe it was just something about Larry the cable guy Anyway, when we left the theater my Dad held my Mom’s hand the whole way to the car and they were both smiling again and my sister I were running around pretending we were Lightning McQueen and Mater and that’s when I knew then that everything was going to be alright

About the whole “EMPs don’t affect oil” thing, the original intent was for the camera to emit radiation, but considering that at the time of release the Fukushima nuclear incident would have happened mere months before the movie’s planned release, they changed it to an EMP out of respect for the people who suffered because of it.

I love this movie. It was a childhood movie for me, and it's my favorite one. Movies can have mistakes guys, but i found this one the most interesting because it doesn't always focus on McQueen (even though he's my favorite character) But on matar too. I liked the song a lot, lightening MacQueen's design blew me away as a kid, and i loved the first race. As a kid it kinda made me feel like i was in it too. (I know that's weird, but whatever.) I love this movie and i always will. I respect your opinions though.

Yeah, Cars was my childhood. My mum told me that for when we went to watch Cars 2 I brought all of my Lightning McQueen merchandise and wore my Cars dressing gown as it was my favourite thing in the world at the time. I always thought Cars 2 was awesome, but I have to sadly agree that Cars 3 was kinda weak. On the off chance they make a Cars 4, what would it be about? Would it be the return of the spies, because they just flew off at the end of Cars 2 and were never seen again in Cars 3? But, at the end of the day, I think I have to say that Cars 2 is my favourite of the three that exist. EDIT: Oh! Another thing that I enjoyed was the Mater's Tall Tales mini-movie spinoffs that they did, I loved those and still have a couple of them on DVD to this day! EDIT 2: Holy s**t! Cars 3 came out in 2017!??! I feel so old....

CinemaSins probably overlooked a lot of sins he could've mentioned in this bad movie, because Cars 2 definitely wasn't as good as the first one. I watched Cars 2 long ago and it made it into my childhood. My favourite bits are the Radiator Springs scenes, Tokyo and pre-race Italy. Anything beyond that went bland and uninteresting, I had to stop the movie after the race in Italy ended and it all went purely chaotic. I still love the Weezer cover during the travel scene, it's the best part in my opinion.

I think the story of what happened to doc is that after cars 1 he returns to racing and at some point gets in a massive wreck that ended up killing him it was revealed in the 3rd movie after lightning is rebuilt after massive crash that basically made him see doc's story first hand by being nothing more than a sellout with merch and seen as completely useless in racing by all promoters after recovering from a season ending crash it's actually pretty cool how for the first time lightning understands the pain doc felt when he lost his race career and why he became so bitter with racing
