One thing I want to point out is that Jeremy apparently doesn’t know that there are people who want to be afraid for the thrill of it. You have people who love to watch scary movies, play horror games, go to haunted houses, and read novels written by people like Steven King. I’m a haunted house actor at one of the most critically acclaimed haunted house in the USA and let me tell you, people will travel across the country in order to experience something like that. We get people who come here out of state all the time.

5:05 Something to note: In the first movie it was established that one emotion is usually put on "dream duty", where they moderate whatever dream Riley's having and have the power to veto it (Joy overrode it with a pleasant dream, and Fear forcibly woke Riley up). Evidently, Jeremy forgot about this, since he didn't bring that up as a reason why the emotions shouldn't all be asleep. That said, if he *did* bring that up, it'd still be a sin for him, because the emotions don't *need* to be on dream duty; the dreams are made at a completely different part of Riley's brain.

As a High Schooler, I can validate birdman, kids do hang out in front of the school before roll call. Mostly to wait for their friends or crunch in the extra phone time since they've been banned across NSW, so we can't use them once we cross the gates.

What are the school buildings like in NSW? US movies always seem to have school as one big building. In West Aus, all of my schools were open plan, just a bunch of small buildings all loosely connected. So there wasn't really an "out front" to hang out at, everyone just kinda chilled at benches and on brickwork all over the place

@HenryLoenwind 14 күн бұрын
@@chloenieuwsma4846 Sure, plenty of valid reasons there. It's just that when the audience wonders, it's generally good storytelling to show or tell about such things unless they're plot points. Dream duty has been established before, so it's not a "we don't show stuff that's not relevant" situation. IO2 is generally a great movie, but there are a number of tiny things where they could have handled continuity with the first one better at no expense to the story or runtime. Another example: The construction workers could have mentioned the secondary control room for the new emotions not being ready, "you'll just have to share". On line, 3 seconds, and nobody would have had any reason to point out that we never saw the new ones in the grown-ups' heads in the first movie. And it wouldn't have taken anything away from this one's story. With some clever writing it could even be a really funny line.

Did ya'll just forget that u don't dream every single night? There are times when ur asleep then wake up like nothing happened, and times when ur asleep, have the dream and wake up, sometimes u remember it and sometimes u don't. Dreams are produced during REM sleep (rapid eye movement) and happens every so often, even in Inside Out 1 they mentioned that "Riley is going into REM" which pretty much tells us that they have a mechanism to signal them when Riley is entering a dream state. Them all sleeping is due to the fact that Riley isn't dreaming this night, simple as that

Ater watching Inside Out 2, I can safely say that it, like Toy Story 2, is indeed one of Pixar's worthy "number 2" sequels that not only turned out well, but actually managed to SURPASS the original in every way: How to Make a Good Sequel (Checklist) -More characters? Check. -More world-building? Check. -An actually interesting and action-packed story to carry off the original? Check. I imagine you won’t see this but it’s worth an attempt regardless! I firstly wanted to say that I love your content, you’re easily in my top five most watched creators, so thanks so much for everything that you do! (The biggest for me being the advocation for critical thinking) That aside, I believe I recall you saying that you enjoy putting people on to good equipment to help them with content creation. Hopefully I’m remembering that correctly, lmao. My dad texted me one day and told me he wanted to start a podcast with me, and at first I thought he was fucking around, but he was deathly serious and SOMEHOW managed to talk me into it. I was tasked with figuring out what equipment to tell him to pick up, so the first thing that came to my mind was to reach out to you. I was hoping you would have something in mind that wouldn’t cost both arms and legs, but still has decent quality as a start. Like, microphones, to be specific. 12:47 Another sin was that in the first Inside Out movie was that it has been shown that the Emotions can express other emotions other than the emotions they're named. Joy originally acted happy and optimistic in an unhealthy manner, but when she and Bing-Bong fell into that pit where everything is forgotten, Joy literally breaks down, crying with the realization that she was responsible for the mess that Riley was in.

Well can you be Joy without sadness?
@OmnicidalClown1992
@OmnicidalClown1992 13 күн бұрын
@daraghokane4236 Yes, you can product tears of joy, but this was not the type of sadness Joy was experiencing. She was generally crying over her failure to understand that her desire to make Riley happy 24/7 was doing more harm than she realized. Not to mention, Joy was literally on the cusp of giving up, as she originally believed that there was no chance saving Riley. My point is, is that Joy, and to an extention, all of the other Emotions, can express more than their namesake.

0:45 But what stands out about the change to what constitutes as a planet is that it was made to specifically leave out Pluto because if Pluto was considered a planet then we would probably also have to include a smattering of various other planetoid objects that are still being discovered today and some of which don't even have regular names

5:32 also people don't dream every night, like I can't count how many times I've went to sleep and not had a dream, so Riley probably wasn't dreaming so ALL the emotions could sleep

Technically, we dream every night, multiple dreams, we just tend to forget most of the dreams, unless we wake up during the sleep phase that gets you dreams, i think REM?

8:06 As a coach and teacher, this is so accurate (though I tell the kid this one-on-one after so they aren't confused and know I recognize their leadership and potential). 8:28 When he sinned the movie for anxiety having an informed plan, I legit went "Shut up jeremy, that's literally her entire character" out loud. Thank you.

There’s a lot of moments where Jeremy’s either taking the “I’m sinning it live and totally haven’t seen this movie all the way through yet” bit so hard that he’s pretending he hasn’t seen the FIRST movie, or he literally hasn’t seen one or both movies and someone else did this script. 1) dreams are a separate department. Joy and Sadness spend a notable chunk of the first movie in and around it trying to wake Riley up. One emotion was put on “dream duty” in the first one as, like, a filter/panic button. In the first one it actually *was* the purple one (Fear) who snapped her out of the nightmare they put her in to wake her up, meaning your “why do I have so many falling out of planes dreams” would more or less work that way in their world 2) being ranty about “you can’t say ALL emotions are good, like yeah sure they have purposes but some aren’t healthy” is LITERALLY THE LESSON OF THE MOVIE???? Joy is so gung ho about trusting these new emotions because of the lessons she learned about shunning Sadness in the first one. So thinking she’s learned and evolved, she decides to go in trusting. And the lesson the movie ends up going with is that, yeah, left unchecked some (and actually they sort of emphasize ALL) emotions are unhealthy. They each do their jobs, even if you’re saddled with an overactive Anxiety. In the end they keep her off to the sidelines as a sort of tangent to fear, but they filter her panic into realistic and unrealistic and take her advice when it makes sense.
