It's a damn shame this movie suffered due to lack of marketing and the strikes, because it was actually enjoyable and Iman Vellani was such a gem. One gripe with the movie was that I liked the scene with Kamala being shocked when Carol told her not to save everyone and save who they can, because it shattered the perfect image of her idol, but the movie never really expanded on that. It would've/could've been an interesting character moment for both of them, just like Peter Parker realizing being an Avenger isn't all it's cracked up to be.
@LionWithAGun6 ай бұрын
i kinda agree. while yes carol does apologize to kamala shortly after that for being rude/standoffish, they should have highlighted that this is a world ending situation and kamalas first time dealing with it on a ground level. i think she could understand why they had to hurry and leave but it would have been nice to see her or monica talk to kamala about this side of hero work and give her the you cant save everyone speech. its painful having to let people die so you can fight another day but it is required in dire situations like what happened to the planets in this movie

While one main reason about the hate for AI is the fear of job replacement, the most worrying issue is AI developers stealing artists' artwork to feed onto the AI, and make artstyles that are not their own, or worse, reselling an exceptional artist's style for a price. I am aware that people are being too paranoid, despite the fact that there's a law in place where ai generated art is not considered for copyright, and cannot be used to sell art on its own.

always fun to Birdman the Birdman: 14:58 the point of "A.I. hate" is simply the fact that A.I. is trained on already existing artwork for the sole purpose of creating replicas of said artwork. a.k.a stealing. it's like taking 3 Van Gogh paintings, stitching them together, and then claiming that it's original work (or that it's good, for that matter). the other issue is that these companies do not care about how good the A.I. work is. they will use it anyways, not only taking someone's job but replacing it with a shittier version for profit. A.I. should not be used to create art. A.I. should make the tedious work easier, but it should not replace the entire creative process.
@laresouless30236 ай бұрын
He point that out though. He understands the "Taking our Jobs" Side of it. If Terrible AI artwork is taking your Job and people outside of the aet community can't tell the difference or don't care then your artwork was never good to begin with. Another point to add on most artist I have seen aren't going after Big Companies but Smaller Creators who use AI to help them in some areas. One KZbin Created a Story/Book with his hard earned cash and made negative profits. His next project he used AI(In addition to paying for stuff, Getting free stuff,and Fan work)to Create a Comic book esqe Movie which saved him up to $30,000-$50,000. He got Hate and Had to defend himself even though AI was only a tiny part of it. Another KZbinr created a Scooby Doo short which he did everything but the Females Voices In which he used AI. He couldn't Afford to pay Anyone what they are worth but Got Hate and flamed for it and eventually had to create a whole new one. Just a few years back The art community would Kill/Block you for even suggesting you make free artwork or pay them in Exposure,but now that people found and support something that helps them create what they want without the prices that Artist Ask for for. Artist all of a sudden can do free stuff. The AI hate is and always have been against the use of AI in all purposes,not just against big companies like people claim it to be.
@awolters58276 ай бұрын
It's a worse version of outsourcing jobs to other countries and using sweatshops for labour. The companies replacing people with AI is all for profit and solely because they don't want to pay for quality and think that the lesser quality is fine since the cost is reduced by so much.

2:30 - TBH at some point I noticed that purple is the MCU's default "energy source" colour. And that makes sense. The power stone is the literal embodiment of power and energy, and is purple. So power sources glowing with the power of the universal aspect they draw on... is entirely logical? IDK, I just applied 5 seconds of though + "what is a simple comic book-y explanation".
@tigamaki13456 ай бұрын
But also god, this kinda video is why I come to your channel. You give stuff flak when it deserves it and is being dumb, but also acknowledge when the deck is stacked. The Marvels is not perfect, there's plenty of issues with it, but its nowhere near as bad as its box office performance suggests. People had decided it was bad months before it even came out. I've seen a weirdly high number of ppl moan about the training montage, but its so rare to actually get a proper scene of heroes experimenting with their powers since what, Phase 2? Thats one of the most fun thing about superheroes having wacky powers!!

I've noticed that as well. They've delved deeper into the old comic roster, incorporating newer characters and making stories that seem self-contained, similar to the books. Disney is well known for being a factory that easily falls into it's tendency to churn product regularly even if quality suffers. Like - I understood why Bruce, Matt and Abomination were the way they were in She-Hulk. That show had the fourth wall breaking, gag comics tone that She-Hulk titles have had for a long time. It actually did that in a way I really enjoyed. I appreciated seeing Daredevil actually enjoy himself and doing his comic-bookish exaggerated gymnastics and superheroics in a way if he did on his own show, it breaks the tone and characterisation of that series. While I’m NOT a Zionist and I do acknowledge the inhumane actions caused by much of the Israeli government/military in recent months, I am ethnically Jewish and I think zero remarks that border on sounding antisemitic in a Th3Birdman video is the right amount. The Israeli-Palestine conflict is a very nuanced and complicated historical/human rights issue, and while Th3Birdman is, as far as I’m concerned, a well-informed, politically literate individual, many people behind their screens viewing all sorts of internet content are not at all. I imagine he cut off the sentence because he intended it as a joke, but I still don’t think it was a necessary joke because I believe it perpetuates the ignorance of the politically illiterate online collective. I’ve noticed in recent months that many of the people who believe non-POC individuals shouldn’t speak on BLM affairs, or that AMAB individuals shouldn’t speak on reproductive rights, are the same people parroting antisemitic rhetoric while having no ties whatsoever to Israel/Palestine/Islam/Judaism/etc. And that hypocrisy in that regard is a direct result of the general public’s lack of political literacy. I’ll conclude by saying I believe in every individual’s right to believe what they choose, and I would never censor their speech or come between their human right to express what they believe, but we can all do better as a people and be better at thinking critically, and acknowledging the nuance of major world issues without immediately condemning or condoning any one side or a relative demographic of people because of juxtapositional propaganda and social bandwagoning. Let’s all get educated and talk about peaceful resolutions rather than perpetuate hate, which isn’t to say that speaking out against the Israeli government is inherently hateful (a democracy is absolutely meant to be called out and kept in check by its constituents), rather that doing so seems to be allowing people who don’t know any better to spread ignorant talking points, which subsequently leads to hateful actions being carried out. PS: I love Th3Birdman. Just throwing in my two cents.

As an artist, the only thing I hate about AI is that companies are so quick to use it instead of hiring professionals because they want to hoard their money like dragons. I don’t think AI is gonna replace an artist (whether writer, artist, singer, etc.) but it’s the greedy companies that don’t want to spend more money on an actual person. Instead they rather use a software that steals from multiple databases to create a vague image of what someone wants and it’s insulting when they claim hard work on literally typing up a prompt. I do agree a bit though that people who say it’s so generic but it’s also taking their jobs are kind of generic in their own right. I think it’s more about the fact that companies are greedy and professional artists either need to step up the game(easier said than done) or hope that there are companies with enough sense to recognize the importance of unique artistic talents and their worth. Jeremy: so Birdman, you're saying YOU should be the leader of the Cinemasins Team? Birdman: That's exactly what I'm what I'm saying. Chris: well hold on, I feel like there are other qualifying factors in being a leader of the Cinemasins Team. Like, being able to tell sins and jokes. Birdman: oh you really don't wanna go down that route
@dday9066 ай бұрын
Bird may have answered this before, but I can't recall. So I'm gonna ask, would the Birdman ever want to act in a superhero movie?
@Th3Birdman6 ай бұрын
I would love to be a part of Black MCU, like Black Panther, or something with Ironheart or Captain America.
@dday9066 ай бұрын

i think a lot of people didnt wanna watch because they were salty that feige tricked them into making a billion dollar from that movie. i like that movie. i gave it a 7/10. but the fact it, majority of the audience didnt think so and it wasnt worth 1 billion.

I didn’t even watch the first captain marvel or the Ms marvel tv show and I enjoyed it! It was fun and I cared about the characters which is a minimum for me in super hero movies. I really feel like this movie deserves more of the Antman treatment rather than acting like this is the movie that ended comic books movies.
@redlox26 ай бұрын
@@nopeninja9765 I think if anything Jeremy should enjoy this movie as he seems to hate referencing the “snap” or “blip” and this movie as far as I can remember only briefly even mentions them and the plot isn’t even revolves around them. Anyways I enjoyed the movie and had fun watching it so for me it’s a thumbs up 👍

18:34 - 19:37 let's not forget that he said the bangle 'came out of nowhere' when Kamala has one and did for her whole series so uh... no. No it did not just 'come out of nowhere'.
@Cinemabu116 ай бұрын
In fact, the end credit scene of Ms. Marvel (and the show in general) set up the mystery behind the bangle and how the other one was missing until now.

Was a Skrull torture device. Not the Kree. Talos used it to gain info on Carol during their mission for survival and it indirectly helped Carol in the first film. Which is why she kept it to continue the search.

CinemaSins makes me cringe so hard when they tackle a film blindly to blend in with the hatemongers for movies without even seeing the movie. I actually really liked this movie, it was a comic book movie that actually felt like a comic book, and I wasn't a big fan of Captain Marvel in her first appearance personally and this movie built on personality and fun. I saw very little to no faults in all these characters, but I also watched all of the extra material they were all in too; don't think that really affected this movie in its own right either though.

7:15 That reminds me of a conversation I had with someone about Lord of the Rings. It was the age-old "why didn't they take the eagles?" argument. I provided not only my own interpretation, but *Tolkien's own words* on the subject, and the dude was all, "that's not satisfying." To *you* maybe, but most actual Tolkien geeks I know are completely fine with that explanation. It's fine if you don't like something, or think an explanation is stupid, but at the end of the day, that's *your opinion*, not a fact.
