The exact same framework was used to give those resources back to the world, as lazy as the Sonic Team showed it. What I'm saying is that despite said framework, it can be possible to do the reverse of what that machine was supposed to do, with a little bit of elbow grease and hammerspace, something that the characters in this game were lacking severely in some places. I don't know if it was your intention, but the example you provided dodged the implication of what I said. A computer can't be a toaster, sure, but the extractor can be a dispenser, as long as the machine doesn't change, if not majorly. Secondly, just saying Sonic is a dumbass is a understatement in most places, though his overconfidence does lead to him making poor decisions. And I can agree that Tails is annoying sometimes, but aside from his IQ for his age, he's still just a kid. Tails can't just control his emotions to a level that a normal teenager can, especially as a 8-11 year old. Also, I think you missed the point again. Sonic and Tails have been together for most of their lives, as I already said, so when Sonic inevitably goes back on Tails, it appears to him that Sonic doesn't believe in him, hence the argument that ensues between him and Sonic, as petty as it can be interpreted. I didn't even bring Eggman up in this regard, only that Sonic is putting him in charge of his own machine. I'm not excessively trying to change your mind, in fact, I do agree with the fact more understanding should have been required before things broke out the way it did. To me, Lost World's weakest point wasn't so much the story or the fact that the Zeti didn't have much of a backstory, but I admit their best dialogue is their in-level dialogue, kind of like Eggman's PA announcements in Colors. But to me, Lost World had a lot of not-so-subtle aspects to Super Mario, primarily Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2. Think about it, the entire gravity and level design is pretty much based on Mario Galaxy. The boss fights seemed similar to the Bowser fights from other Mario games, including Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario World, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, even the Bowser-esque battle with Zavok seemed like it was ripped from New Super Mario Bros. 2. Even the hub world layout isn't subtle. (Grassland, Desert, Water, Ice, Jungle, Cloud, Lava. In that order).

That's before Sonic gets knocked out, he's got no excuse for that one! Hell, when he saw Sonic explode in space in Adventure 2 because he made a slip up about the fake Emerald, he didn't just stand there and mope about it, he blasted the living crap out of Eggman right then and there! They just took his whole character development throughout the series and threw it out of the window!

To clear things up for what happened to Eggman's mustash, in the 3DS version (I don't know if it shows it in the Wii U version) a little rabbit eats it for some reason because he got buried when he fell from the Lost Hex. In that case, you must give it three sins, 1) because he survived the fall from the Lost Hex, 2) he somehow fell to Mobius from the Lost Hex and three the bunny didn't know it was a mustash.
