With The Amazing Spider-Man 2 releasing worldwide, we thought it was time to finally crack open the original Raimi Spider-Man trilogy and look for sins. Because the sin-counter is a great power, we did our best to execute great responsibility. We probably failed.

I made this joke, because at the time, properly wearing your mask was a big deal and people were refusing to do it. JJJ wasn't trying to save peter's life. He knew that nobody was better than peter to capture spiderman's photos and if he tells green goblin about Peter then he won't get any photos and his business would be ruined. @@sunandanair5658 it's been long established even in the comic that JJJ is actually a good journalist with principles among them being "never reveal your sources" in fact in most versions of the comics the reason JJJ hires peter as a photographer was because he felt sympathy for him when he realised peter lost his uncle and even has gone as far as to say he sees peter as a son, the reason he goes for spider-man so badly was because he mistrusts the concept of "heroes" in general due to his traumatic past, as his father was considered a war hero but he would get drunk constantly and beat him up.

I hope Tobey Maguire knows just how big of a role he played, not only in Spider-man but in the comic book community as a whole, it's him and Sam Raimi who are to thank for essentially the birth of the MCU and the inspiration to filmmakers everywhere who have made excellent comic book movies, an entire generation of fans, actors and filmmakers alike are standing on their shoulders and if I have an inspiration, it would have to be Sam Raimi for reinforcing the message that was in the comics from the beginning and exists with the character even today that anyone can be Spider-man and that it's about doing the right thing, that's why I consider the Raimi trilogy the best series of comic book movies of all time and Raimi himself as one of the best filmmakers of all time

Here is a fun fact! Spider-Man's 6th sense, the Spider Sense, is able to trick Peter. It will only warn him for danger only if Peter thinks he's in danger. Otherwise, it won't work. A great example is the scene where Green Goblin attacks The Daily Bugle for information. Peter didn't get the signal since he didn't consider himself in danger.

Great question! I can't say that I know the answer to that but however I can imagine why that happened. He was talking to Mary Jane about their relationship and most of us already know that a talk about the relationship can make a person anxious, mad, nervous, etc. That is enough feelings for Peter to sense the Spider-Sense. This is obviously my theory.

I must say though that Williem Dafoe played his part SO well in this movie I just loved watching him. His villainous laugh, his two-facedness and even his insane monologue scenes were so entertaining.
