If you're catholic you don't commit suicide yourself, you ask somebody else to kill you. It's not murder in his eyes, but mercy. The movie is trash because they didn't give the thought and meaning behind the actions. He wasn't punishing his victims as much as he was saving them!

To be honest. This movie is nothing like the book it was based on. For a better experience i would recomend the book. Basicaly 94% of the sins in this movie is not in the book. It is much better at every thing, it is more intence and realistic. I to thought it was going to be just some creepypasta. However it is a realistic novel about the human nature and how mental sickness, bad parenting and a different moral view can make a normal man kill. It's not a horror story ment to scare you with some paranormal bullshjt but tell a good story that can take place in the real world. All in all this book is a part of a book series where Harry Hole is the main "protaganist". The snowman is the 7th book out of 12 (2019). If you like this book i would recomend Reading the other too.

I watched this movie with my brother thinking it was gonna be great and literally like 20 minutes in I guessed who the killer was and he turned to me to say “no, that’s be way too stupid” and then it was revealed and we both DIEDDDDD

According to the director, who was attached as filming was about to start, the whole production was rushed and about 15% of the script wasn't even filmed. While filming they studio changed scheduling and made budget cuts, The filming was moved from Oslo to London which made location filming impossible and budget cuts meant they couldn't film some of the scenes that could have been filmed in London. He is well aware that several subplots are unresolved, what people do and why aren't explained and that there are continuity errors and plot holes. The very slow pacing is also a result of the studio saying "the movie needs to be at least this long" and then not letting them film enough material to make a coherent story. I recommend reading the book, it's actually really good and engaging (and in the first book about Harry he's sent to Australia, so there was a point to naming him Hole. Jo Nesbø didn't know at the time that he would become attached to Harry and use him in other books.

It reminds me almost of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" series if Steig Laarson had more time to do another draft before his death (funny considering that the aforementioned "Dragon Tattoo" takes place in neighboring Sweden).

Michelle Williams Brain doesnt have pain receptors, closest to it I think the dura mater (tough fibrous sheet that covers it) does along with a good portion of your head. For brain operations, they specifically anaethetise the dura but not the brain, so the patient is awake but doesn’t feel anything. Most headaches are due to neck muscles though

The trailer ends with an audio clip where the killer adresses Fassbender's character (without letting us see who he is of course.) However we can clearly hear that he has a scandinavian accent. The killer is the only character in the movie with a scandinavian accent ;) Also comparing the trailer to the actual movie, it seems like the finished product is hardly even the same movie as seen in the trailer. Don't get me started on the plot involving JK Simmons character, a complete waste of time just for the sake of a diversion.
