I'm adding 1 point: Charles should've lost his legs because of the psychic trauma of being linked with Shaw when the coin killed him, not because of the bullet. In the comics, its always some kind of psychic trauma that costs Charles his legs, that's why no one can heal him. It would have been a lot more dramatic. Also, it would've been a lot more "Erik's fault" for not caring that Charles was inside Shaw as he was killing him, rather than a deviated bullet, which was definitely an accident.
@lizasaakadze5411 Жыл бұрын
Oh no don’t hurt me like that
@treehavn Жыл бұрын
That wouldve completely derailed the momentum of the climax. Those two events cannot share the same moment. The scenes in between Erik murdering Shaw and then Charles’ injury allows necessary time for each event to feel significant. If Charles is paralyzed as soon as Shaw dies, that would also effectively remove the ENTIRE missile scene. And it would reduce Erik from a sympathetic, character with complex morals, to a one dimensional malevolent villain if he intentionally causes Charles to be paralyzed/attempts to kill him. The ending is powerful and tragic because at this point in time these are two characters who care for each other.

My biggest problem with this film is when Magneto uses part of a brass bed, I think it was, to choke & crack Emma Frost in diamond form. That is COMPLETELY implausible. Diamond has the highest tensile strength of ANY material, @ 2.8 gigapascals. On top of that, it is the second most incompressible material, being only 7% more compressible than Osmium (which is not as hard as diamond). There should be no way to "choke" her by the neck in diamond form, and brass (or any normal metal) wouldn't even come anywhere near being able to fracture her. That's the whole fucking point of her having diamond form - near invulnerability.

Lamashtar Diamond definitely has fracture planes along which it will crack under the right conditions, however, "a sudden sharp blow" is in no way what was done to her in-movie. I was commenting on what had specifically happened in the film, not trying to make everyone think I know all about everything, which seems to be your objective here. Also, of course she didn't get to pick her powers - I meant that is obviously the point of the comic writers giving her that power, so she could protect herself. You do understand that this is a film of a comic book, both written by writers, correct? This isn't some documentary of a real situation where she was just born with these powers. The WRITERS chose the powers. Maybe take a break from the comics, go outside for a while. Call your mom - I bet she worries.

Barry Allen If you watch X2 or X3 where Prof. X and Magneto go to interview Jean Grey when she was a kid, Xavier is walking to the door. In Xmen First Class, he loses his ability to walk and his alliance with Magneto before they even encounter Cyclops
@Fucisko10 жыл бұрын
streetchico13 Days of Future Past will solve that. If I am correct every single X-men movie apart from First Class has different continuity than First Class. DOFP will have X-men from "future" continuity go to "past" continuity. So in Future continuity Charles and Eric parted ways as old mans where in the Past continuity they parted away as young.

Oh, CinemaSins you forgot a Sin, one most Argentine people complain about. In this movie, Villa Gesell, Argentina it's presented as a mountain place with lakes...while Villa Gesell it's actually a beach place with no mountains or lakes whatsoever. It's most likely they confused it with another, more popular Argentine location: Bariloche

Here are a few more: -During the whole big fight sequence Banshee dives into the water and stays down there for a ridiculously long time without coming up for air. He has to breathe sometime -Mystique doesn't walk around naked in this movie -Mystique isn't the insanely good martial artist we know from the previous movies and doesn't kick anyone's ass On the flip side they gave her a personality, a character arc, and more than just a few lines
@aperson3010 жыл бұрын
It's kinda a plot point why Mystique is so different. She isn't the same person at all that she is in the later movies, and she keeps herself covered and in human form because she's ashamed of her mutant self. It wasn't until Magneto taught her to stand up for herself that she stopped giving a fuck. Although I wouldn't mind seeing her walk around naked, there's a good reason why she doesn't lol.
@savagenature110 жыл бұрын

@snaily289 жыл бұрын
Magneto is more powerful than a gun. Magneto can push a coin through a mutant skull in slow motion. If Charles got shot, the suit would have worked, but it was Magneto that pushed the bullet through him by accident.
@Matt101Vgettio9 жыл бұрын
he was deflecting the bullets. the speed of the bullet would not have changed. its like when you get oppositely charged magnets together . it should not have gone through the suit if it was bullet proof
@neobaggins37189 жыл бұрын
***** I would agree with you, but all claims of scientific accuracy for your statement are removed with the phrase 'he was deflecting bullets.' Suspend disbelief. Also, he isn't bulletproof, he is using magnetic energy to change the path of the bullet. Depending on when and in what orientation he starts/stops manipulating it will determine whether he has removed, or added energy.
@snaily289 жыл бұрын
***** I see what you're saying. It should be a sin. +1 it. Ding.
@Knote39 жыл бұрын
***** I don't think you know what bullet proof means then. The bullet didn't penetrate him, that would have killed him, the suit stopped the bullet. But the kinetic energy still traveled through and hit his spine. Just because you where a bullet proof vest doesn't mean it won't hurt at all, have you seen any action movie with people surviving chest shots? They never enjoy it. It'd be like being hit with a hammer while wearing armor.

What's even worse about the helmet is that it was stated in the first movie that Magneto made the helmet himself, and knew how to do so because he was familiar with Charles' powers AND had helped Charles build Cerebro. That made sense. But now not only did he not make it, he just took it from Shaw. But then Shaw didn't make it either, just "the Russians" did it. So the Soviet Union created telepath blocking technology, and only used it... once? To make ONE helmet that protects ONE SINGLE PERSON? AND THEN *GAVE IT AWAY?!?* Srsly, if the Russians had not only such a deep understanding of telepathic powers but also a way to BLOCK them, they'd have conquered the entire fucking world.

Skeif13 Just because it sets stuff on fire, doesn't mean that the energy itself is fire-based. Quote from wikipedia on his powers: "Havok is a mutant possessing the power to absorb ambient cosmic energy, process it and emanate it from his body as waves of energy that heat the air in the path, turning it into plasma in the form of a blast or discharge,...This results in control over an extremely powerful sort of destructive force...the energy that Havok releases is not truly a concussive force...When Havok strikes an object with hot plasma, the sudden temperature jump often causes objects to shatter or disintegrate. Should Havok direct his energy at the lowest level, he can project it towards a human being and his target will suffer a severe headache, but will not burn up."

The sound isn't reversed (like when he subtracts 1 sin) but the counter gets actually 1 sin less
