Thank God someone else is finally saying it. I've struggled for years, not only to lose weight, but to explain to people that the only way I ever did it was through exercise & a relatively high protein diet. Yes, I got hungry at first but it faded away and I maintained the loss for about three years. Now when I try to go back to it, everyone tells me that it doesn't work. THANK YOU for this interview!

I enjoyed this interview. Also liked your questions regarding your feelings about animal protein. I go back and forth on this issue myself. I'm 73 & my Dr said as we get older we need to focus & make sure we increase our protein intake for strength.

I was able to learn more from her with this interview. When she interviews others I don't get much from it at all but listening to her was more beneficial thank you. I'm probably gonna look for videos that Dr Lyon is interviewed

I suspected it long ago. That is why I started exercising in my childhood at 7 years old. I m now 69 years old and still go to gym and take about 30 min a day at home for physical exercise.

Have anyone ever heard of Dr. Gary Null and listened to his 50 year plus career on every legitimate point concerning our bodies and anti aging. He is the very best across the board the very best mind out there in any of these discussions. I have listened to him for 45 years and know what this individual has done for humanity and how unique he is in processing his knowledge to the world in ways that are absolutely on top of the world and Dr. Null has done more to broaden the platform of nutrition and health than any of these KZbin people.

I tried the conventional way of weight training, for some odd reason it never hit home Changed to OMAD and BINGO... results. Wish I tried this decades earlier. More leaner with muscle tone all revolving around eating once a day. Which totally flies against the conventional and what is prescribed here Each to their own. Thank you for uploading and sharing.

What is the ideal percentage of muscle mass in a 67-year-old with 178 cm and 67 kg of total weight? I find it difficult to calculate the protein with the amount of food Thanks for the very interesting video.

Thank you so much! Question, what about this 54 year old women? I weigh 140 lbs. Trying to get down to 130. How much protein must I eat on fast days? I try and almost always get 130 grams of protein.

Dietary extra protein get converted to glucose by gluconeogenesis and then get stored as a fat. So eating more protein doesn’t mean that it won’t be stored as a fat.

For a Doctor this dude is not that smart. My respect for doctor Lyons, though interrupted several times, she did bring up some good points. Why don't we eat dogs? Maybe in case of crisis we might do it. But we eat ruminant animals, (cows, sheep and so on) We've evolved to eat meat always. The native Americans used to eat bison, buffalo, deer and so on, plants occasionally used for medicine.

I’ve been vegan for over 12 years. My creatinine levels are checked every year as well as all other blood tests and they are all great. No problems at all. I do supplement with vitamin B 12 and a whole bunch of other supplements that are not necessarily related to my vegan diet. I can’t and won’t eat animals. It’s not in my consciousness to do that. Dr. Neal Barnard and Dr. Joel Fuhrman are definitely going to have a dissenting opinion from this doctor. good to listen to everyone.

As you get older, you will realize that being vegan is not the healthiest way of leaving and you may develop more issues and deficiencies. Some people manage to do well being vegan, the ratio of vegans becoming more carnivores is significantly larger than carnivores becoming vegans. Many people pushing veganism including doctors are just part of the propaganda and agenda to make you eat processed packaged food, fake meat and other food, that is not raw, and again with time you will feel and look worse. Watch out for oxalates and toxic super foods because many plants are toxic and will cripple some people if you eat large amounts of them.

I reversed my T2D with mostly protein. Converting my IBW of 170 grams is only about 7 oz of protein...are you sure you're not over eating protein? Also up the fats drastically. I eat 1 stick of butter a day. A1c last year 10.5 , now 5.1
@Anita-silver
@Anita-silver 2 жыл бұрын
@@marianne1959 What is IBW? Yes I do eat lots of fat and butter. I have been staying at about 60 grams of protein a day for blood sugar but I've been experimenting and looks like more movement is allowing more protein. 👍

It would be nice if you could quit interrupting your guests before they finish answering the question you had previously asked. IMHO your doing that is not only disrespectful but it gives the impression you are thinking too much about your next question and not listening to his or her response to the one you had just asked.
