Can you turbo any vehicle (any engine size, any year)? Example, 4c Camry, 4c accord, stock v6 Tahoe, Sentra, some Hyundai etc, again ANY vehicle. The thing is, I told my friend I wanted to add a small turbo on my two vehicles for efficiency, not exactly power/performance. His feedback was that it's not worth it because some engines aren't designed for a turbo. The primary point of his feedback was compression, that you'd ultimately would have to change/modify the engine itself internally, so yeah, I'd like to know if he's correct or not? Any help appreciated, thx in advance ✌️

@@adrianlong9631building an engine means Replacing the Rods and pistons with forged pistons and rods Doing a sleeve job and some work on the heads (porting and valve adjustments) If you want to go deeper you can build the bottom end by Replacing the crank with forged crank or If you want to and so and so on thats just the basics theres plenty of more stuff that im not talking about likes Stroker kits to add or lower compression or do frankynsteins builds ...hopefully i was helpfull Since there was nobody to teach me

@@adrianlong9631 the stuff he is describing for a built engine is something you would want to do if you plan on running high boost and high hp. If you want to turbo your car but don’t plan on putting boost to it to make over 1000 you should be fine with a stock motor. Although it is risky cause there is always going to be risks. Lots of motors are capable of handling right about 1000 hp stock. For instance the LS.

If the factory valves in a 1991 GMC Syclone will not hold up under the additional heat generated by the turbo with the factory custom grind cam and the cast pistons will not take a detonation event more than two or three times when tuning in a nitrous kit.. Then what can I expect from a factory 3.2 caddy cts when adding a turbo without any type of fuel upgrades.. And or is there a chip or ecm upgrade to send a message to the fuel system to get with the program or shut down or what I think should be called a (fish or cut bait) program. But that’s what I just came up with on short notice, I’m sure I can find a better program title if needed..

There is so much wrong with this video I’ll cover a few. 1. That radiator is gonna be useless with the factory thermostat in place, and really isn’t needed if a lower thermostat is used and the setup is tuned properly. 2. Shows a exhaust manifold made for an external Wastegate, when the turbo being used has an internal Wastegate. 3. No fuel system upgrades like bigger injectors, and higher flow fuel pump so probably going to have some tuning issues once you go positive on your air charge. 4. Where’s the tubing from the turbo to the inter cooler, and from the inter cooler to the intake manifold ? 5. That piggyback unit for the ecm really isn’t a good way to go unless there are no factory ecm tuning options. As most piggyback systems are prone to failure and normally take the factory ecm out in the process. They also are not near as accurate as the factory ecm as all it is doing is sitting inline between the ecm and what is being controlled and just changing output voltages, or pulse length etc which can cause the factory ecm to try to correct if a sensor downstream senses something out and the factory ecm and piggyback end up fighting each other.
