The fender well fasteners are metric - 5.5mm and 10 mm. Ford is all metric now except for some sensors and suspension stuff for future reference.

Shouldn't be too bad, might have to fight around some of the engine accessories, but once you get that wheel liner out, youll have a good idea what youre getting into.

did you confirm that diagnosis yourself? obviously without knowing where on the glowplug it broke I cant say if thats true or not. seems like a drastic conclusion for a broken glow plug.

They were in motocraft packaging when we got it, and it worked. This was quite a while ago though so I can’t speak for the quality now

Pull the glow plug circuit fuse to stop the glow plug from heating 24/7 until you get a new glow plug relay

Get yourself a universal joint for your socket and give it the ole reach around

wait, cylinder 7 is on the passenger side of the motor nearest the firewall...you shouldnt run into any steering shaft issues.

You’ll get a check engine light that will tell you exactly which one is bad.

8MM will get the job done. To remove it, you place the 8mm socket on the glow plug, and turn the glow plug with the socket wrench lefty loosey.
