When I quit WOW in 2009 I had 27,000 gold. Just gave it all away to different friends in the game. In the end I was bored of the game and enjoyed playing the auction house like the stock market and cornered the market on certain items on my server. I had a level 1 undead mage in the UC handling all the transactions. I put him in a tuxedo. I just recently activated my account for classic and he’s still down there in the pits in the UC.

I've been actually playing on a private server for a month now and dam the process of uniting with people is so natural and mind blowing and meeting people threw the most random shit and so stupid that u stick together for 90% of the time u play and forming slowly a friend circle to a private dgs group to help each other farm bis gear, dunno how itll play on later...maybe they'll come a day where we make a raid comprised of friends... Since i never thought of entering the raiding scene its something i wanna see how it turns out

the friends part is so relatable. I quit during cata, me and the top bois of the guild became really good friends and i remember grinding for months on my dk trying to get heroic gurtha. I witnessed most of my guild friends get it but me and my best bud in game. One day vacation hit and many of us took a break from the game for a month or two but sadly due to life's responsibilities most of them ended up never coming back. I could still raid log and farm for my heroic gurtha or level my alt and or show off my massive dps in pug raids or join another guild and do the same but there was no point, I didn't care about any of it I just cared about being there with my friends and having fun with them. Sad how everything ended

Used to play on Al'Akir EU during Vanilla, we had two really good Alliance guilds, Stature of the Gods and Midnight Reveries. I wanted so badly to join SotG, but that didn't happen during Vanilla, not at all really. I ended up with something even better at the end. I never gave up, I was bloody determined! At that time I was playing Warlock and there were never any Warlock spots open in SotG, so I began thinking - what should I do? Well, I decided to reroll, I was progressing with my guild on Lady Vashj when I finally decided. Which in hindsight was a borderline insane decision to make. I rolled a Shaman. No lifed the shit out of it, and guild hopped like a crazy person to gear up as quickly as possible. I was manipulative AF and deliberately so, otherwise my plan would fail. I also decided that I should aim to befriend someone within the guild, which I eventually also did. I struck gold at the end of BC when SotG and MR decided to merge and create a new guild, a guild that would aim for top world rankings in the future. With this merge a couple of spots opened up, Shaman was one of them. I wrote an application, argued my case, why they should pick me and I had this member friend who could vouch for me too. Pointed out that I got extensive raiding experience covering from MC up till a couple of pre-nerf bosses in Sunwell Plateau. They brought me into their raid to test me out, and I got approved to trial with them! I passed my trial during Naxxramas in WotLK. This guild was Immersion, which eventually grew into one of the strongest Alliance guilds around and we continuously placed ourselves high on the world rankings through WotLK, Cataclysm and MoP. Sadly the guild fell apart in WoD after the GM and a few founding Officers quit raiding, the new leadership failed and it was also just insanely difficult to recruit good people. I will never forget the day they decided to stop raiding as a guild. It felt like an punch in the stomach, an era that had come to an end, and sadly people scattered like leafs in the wind after that. I will never get to experience something quite like that ever again, and I count myself extremely lucky to have been a part of it.

I dont think people understand how much raiding needs to have leaders. Not just skill, but personality and leadership matters when you're sitting at the same boss, slamming your head against a wall on pull #400. Sometimes it's the biggest bonobo from a skill aspect but that clear doesnt happen or better yet, feel the same, when you finally get that boss clear if it wasnt for the leaders.

I played WoW regularly from 2006-2012. However sadly I don't recall a lot of people that I raided with back in the day. I never got that close to anyone while I was playing. It is nice to see that some other players were able to form closer bonds with their guild mates and raid members.

I didnt even realise it was classic until like halfway through the video because of how many addons he is using. I think addons should be used due to their benefits and since everyone will basically be using atleast one or two but what hes got seems excessive. Also most progession guilds require atleast questie, the main raid addons and a cooldown addon so theres that.
