That would appear to be a lot of thought going on in the turtle’s brain to figure that out. What evidence do we have for the extent of intelligence in animals? Does she just have a really smart turtle?

It seems that Jimmy has developed his Eidetic Perception along the pathways similar to Einstein's Hypothetical Dedutive method. As Catholics we often forget how advanced we were. We were even inventing new words such as "Hypostatic" just to understand the timeless nature of God. I suspect the Catholic Church is awakeing to a Heptostatic perception of the Virgin Mary, all seven gifts of the spirit focused on Christ. Saint Theresa of Avilla probably expressed it most clearly in her distinction between Union and Rapture.

I'll have to share this with my sister-in-law. She was telling me today about how, many years ago, she made a tapestry hanging with the Lord's Prayer, but had miscounted the lines and ran out of room for the last line. She's Protestant, so I asked if she meant, "For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory." Yes, that's exactly what she meant. So I told her it was ok, Catholics end the prayer before that line. So she says she'll give it to a Catholic. She said all these years she thought she had made a huge mistake, yet couldn't beat to throw the whole tapestry away. Hopefully some Catholic will be able to enjoy it, as she is quite skilled in such crafts. But I think she'd enjoy knowing the origin of the doxology (and why it's not "removing from Scripture" when Catholics don't add it every time we pray the Our Father).

Although I usually agree with Mr. Akin, especially about natural science, I doubt conjoined twins will stay that way in heaven. How can we harmonize that idea with Isaias 40:31 if two twins get attached at their ankles? Isaiss writes, "But they that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall take wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." in the Douay Rhiems Bible.

I think that's too literally applied in the way you're using it here. Besides, the conjoined twins who had that TV show for a while, the young women, both of whom are teachers, and who share a single torso and certain internal organs, have managed to be able to coordinate their walking and bike riding, despite the fact that each of them controls only one of their legs. They only have 2 legs, and 2 arms, and each of them only has control over the limb that on their side of the body. Yet they figured out at an early age how to walk, and as they were growing up, they figured out how to ride a bike. So if they could do all that on this earth, it seems like God can give them whatever they need to be able to run without tiring in the next life.

@@kimfleury Maybe you're right. But it's hard for me to believe God would want people to enter heaven with a disability. Since I "caught" cerebral palsy at birth, I pray that I'll be able-bodied if I go to heaven. What if a twin wanted to go somewhere by herself when the other twin wanted to be alone? I'm sorry, but I don't agree with Mr. Akin. Think about people who talk as though they are their handicaps.I could say, "I have cerebral palsy. That's who I am." But my CP is something I have. I'm not it. Since an oxygen shortage injured brain at birth when my lungs collaped, I was able-bodied in the womb. I want people to ignore my handiap, so i rarely mention it. If I were a conjoined twin, I wouldn't tell that was who I was. What if being conjoined was always difficult for me twin? Would God keep us attached to please me? How happy would my twin be in heaven if he carried that cross forever? Would he suddenly learn to love being stuck to me?

Humans is really recent in the history of Earth, life on Earth is billions of years old, humans not even a million. The scales of creation is grander than you can comprehend.

IF Adam and Eve were historical and were literally the progenitors of all humans, then I side with wiliam lane Craig's conclusions in his "Quest for Historical Adam" (they were Heidelbergensis more than 700,000 YAG and that Genesis 1-11 is a genre of mytho-history wherein history is "cloaked in mythology"). Dinosaurs were many millions of years prior. YECs are hurting evangelism!
