Dear Evita, thanks a lot for the wonderful interview, one can easily notice you are two amazing people, with beautiful hearts and souls, gotta love you guys. I pretty much agree with everything both of you are saying here, and i'm so glad you brought up The Venus Project. As you both said, most of us are not ready for a social system that rewards cooperation and empathy, and that's probably why we don't have one yet. But i also see this from the other way around, point being: children aren't born corrupt. Instead, innocent babies are born in this system, this competitive environment, and are molded to become that way. In fact, it's almost impossible to really help others in the capitalist world, because it's for your detriment, there's no reward nor incentive, in fact you tend to lose. Indeed, helping others is almost a luxury exclusively for the rich, like charity. Corporations aren't greedy because of a whim, they're forced to make a sacred commitment to growth, otherwise they're swallowed by the competition, only the greedy get far, you see the problem? There isn't really a choice in this circumstance, at best, a very limited one, since what's at play is survival and quality of life. That's what is demanded by the structure itself. The market has its own logic, and that's not going to change, simply because we have better intentions within it. Many many people are forced into certain types of behavior that they do not want to do, for the sake of survival, for the sake of their children... for instance, we have about 100,000 homeless people in Los Angeles. Even though no one likes that, every single day, workers wake up from their beds, with the best intentions, and engage in a system that creates, and tacitly supports, the existence of those 100 thousand homeless humans. In reality, there's a whole spectrum of hideous byproducts that no one desires, such as climate destabilization, unemployment, poverty, loss of biodiversity, crime, slave labor, etc... I guess where i would respectfully disagree with Tom is that a good business acumen is not a moral choice/decision, but it's a decision of what can actually work, what is possible. The strategy that is required by this game we've concocted for ourselves, to get a profit going and keep cyclical consumption happening, isn't really a choice, when you consider what's at risk... i think people love to do things that help others, we really do but, unfortunately, we're forced to be indifferent and competitive by the market`s structural imposition for survival itself. Most people have a grand sense of ethics and kindness in this culture but, unfortunately, very often, they're forced into unethical behavior by the market logic, and its win-lose basic gaming strategy. The more you back someone in a corner, as this system does very often, the more corrupt they'll probably become, and it's not really corruption at all, but it's just the way it is, it's just the psychology inherent. In fact, the greedy worldview is considered to be a "virtue" of the "good businessman" and, as a natural structural consequence, you invariably have to forego the interest of others for self-interest. Do i think that's right? Absolutely not, i would love to see the kind of love and caring Tom talks about prevail, problem is, it's impossible. In other words, a free society, based on true human equality, which i think we all very much want, is actually not going to prevail as dominant in the long run, because the psychological reinforcers were never present at all. Most people, from birth, fall victim to this concept that's prevailing in society, that you're supposed to be put on a pedestal for so-called "winning", while others suffer. This value system disorder is ever pervasive, and it really does define human exploitation and abuse, it defines the inherent violent coercion, which is structurally inseparable from the market itself, in its foundational principles. I can imagine, if we were born in a different world, with more education, abundance (which, by the way, is technically possible already) and of course love, we would become something else entirely. Someone who has never received love growing up, won`t have much love to give as an adult. But really in the end, the most relevant change must occur within ourselves first, and only then we'll start changing the environment to help others grow, so i generally agree with Tom on that one. What i'm saying is that true resolution of the problems on the tip of people's tongues today can't manifest within the socioeconomic system we share, it is inherently corrupt. We can't have a humane, just, sustainable capitalism, it's impossible. There can't be a collaborative capitalist system, it doesn't work like that. Tom said at about 31:20 that "we can have corporations and business", but we really can't. It's not that we can alter business to be sustainable, not at all, businesses are part of the problem. The entire idea of business and trade is based on isolation, advantage and self-preservation. On the other hand, what we can have, is the open-source development of goods, all within a public domain, and that's a whole different context, because then we'd have production and distribution decoupled from the profit motive and proprietary trade (and maybe that's what Tom meant by "business", in his overarching, holistic point , maybe i misunderstood). But we really can't operate in another way, there has to be a collaborative economic system, which cannot be monetary-market based. If we don't get rid of the market and the concept of trade itself, regardless of how well intended the economic players are, it'll gravitate back towards fear and coercion, as he defines it, regardless, because the predication/assumption of resource scarcity and the game theory of competition remain, and this worldview will always justify the need to maintain advantage over others, by whatever means necessary, as History has proven. This current model of an economy is against everything that sustains life and it is environmentally and socially unsustainable, it requires infinite growth, in other words, it's an anti-economy. But, in order to change the system and have a real economy, we must change the human being and our values first, and ultimately, our quality of consciousness, like Tom often reiterates, we really have to evolve (and i think we're heading that way and we'll get there, if we don't self-destruct beforehand, that is). And that’s why we, who are part of the Zeitgeist Movement, always say that “the real revolution is a revolution of consciousness”, and I think a society, like the one TVP advocates, would be the exact manifestation of a higher quality of our collective consciousness. Keep up the great work and sorry for the annoyingly long-winded observation ;)

Thank you so much for your valuable input regarding this topic, and feedback regarding the video. You are correct, it is not a simple one, given all that is currently in place when it comes to values, economics, etc. So it is great to see though, people like yourself and the Zeitgeist movement bringing more awareness to this area for potential new solutions, and most importantly focusing on the "revolution of consciousness".

I think what time says I agree with most of it but changing the world is to change the education systems for generations to come and stop any new consciousness from entering in the system for the next 200 years. It might sound crazy, but could work.

How do you change the BEing level? Yet he said you cannot change by just acting and yet I heard him also say to just act right? I'm confused.
@EvitaOchel4 жыл бұрын
You change at the being level my making different choices and actions - conscious ones that aim to see how they impact you and others in the short and long term. What Tom means about "not acting" is about not trying to be fake or force something that isn't what you really feel or want. It is all about being AUTHENTIC. If you make different choices in how you think and act with honesty and integrity, that is what changes you at the being level. But if you do it just to look good or feel good or because you think "it is what you should do", then that is not real. It is fake, and such fake actions are not going to change you at the being level.
@discodisco97704 жыл бұрын
@@EvitaOchel thank you for replying. I appreciate it very much. In the case of forgiveness for example, I know I should forgive. That's in my mind. How does it become AUTHENTIC? That it is coming from the heart when I don't feel like it.
@EvitaOchel4 жыл бұрын
@@discodisco9770 You are very welcome. With regard to your question, you need to work out your thoughts and emotions related to that event and person or people that you cannot seem to get past. That is what forgiveness is all about. It is not about telling ourselves or others that "we forgive" but about "letting it go" **by the power of empathy and stepping into the other person's shoes**, as well as **self-reflecting on your own Ego's identity** and what it expects or rejects. Everything playing out in this reality is for our spiritual practice and consciousness expansion. So the more that you can "see" more and more broadly, the easier forgiveness becomes. Because in reality, no one does anything wrong given their model of their world. Just because it is not our model, doesn't mean that their actions were not justified for them at that particular time. It is easy to judge others for their wrong-doing, but not easy for ourselves to take responsibility for our actions and the choices we make that lead to the many outcomes in our lives. The more you are able to self-reflect and apply empathy for the other and responsibility for the self, the more you are able to let go and forgive.

Just finished all 3 parts...i love toms great work...and yours too evita! thanks for being you and putting this all together for us! Cooperation instead of competition is where i've been at for awhile now...now I have to translate cooperation instead of competition on stage and be funny about it! when people see or hear a comedian talking about the earth being a sentient, divine intelligent entity...then suddenly preaching about world peace while making fun of religions it probably is a little confusing...I have to tone my anger down a lot...i feel a schism arise tho because i feel one of the easiest ways to get laughs is to appear to be angry on stage...did you happen to mention the flat earth to Tom? Does his "Theory of Everything" include that? lol... I'll be making a video called, "Reaching Out to "Free Thinker' Tom Campbell" And see if I can get an interview with him and talk about his model and how the flat earth fits in with it... I'll probably call out a bunch of others first like Michio Kaku, David Wilcock/Corey Goode, Mark Dice, Bashar...then I'll politely do the same for Tom Campbell and Bruce Lipton & Rupert Sheldrake. :)
@EvitaOchel8 жыл бұрын
Awesome to hear Dan! Thank you so much for your feedback and comment. No doubt, as a comedian there are many topics you can cover and in many ways that can evoke greater thought and awakening in people, as comedy can be used to bring out so much of the daily reality or "truths" that we don't want to face under "normal conditions". But I can imagine how challenging it can be also to have that perfect medley of content and delivery. As for the Earth, space, evolution and such, the basis of MBT revolves around the more traditional/mainstream view of things, so no "Flat Earth" :) Nonetheless, this does not discount the virtual nature of it all and value of the entire message as a whole. As I like to look at it, may we always take what resonates as truth for us from any one person or content, but not take it "all", and likewise not discount it "all", if there is something that does not resonate. Every person has a piece of truth or learning for us, some bigger, some smaller, but something of value nonetheless. And way to go for creating your own videos and sharing your message! Just as others have something for us, we also each have much to offer our world :)

I love listening to tom. he gives me so much hope and he gives me permission to save one person and that person is myself. I think so globally, and it's such a relief to not have to be angry and manipulative to get what I beleive is the way the world should be. I asserted once that the world was getting better and will. the person I said this to disagreed. my retort was that the only way we could have ruined the planet is by working together and global warming is just another problem showing us the consequences of our actions on a more subtle scale. another though, the positive movement of gay rights as I see, is something that fell out of humans realizing that genocide is a horrible thing to commit agenst other people. I really do beleive we are improving greatly. there are fewer genocides than ever. Though we still need to learn that drone strikes in a war is indeed quasi - genocide.

Evita Ochel yes, and after hearing Tom explain it I realized that someone's own growth catapulted me into some serrious healing. The amazing part was that there was very little interaction (she was a yoga instructor that I took a handful of classes from) and just listening to how she addressed herself sent me on a profund journy that healed stuff that was weighing my life down. It's amazing how helping other people becomes incredibly easy once you truely help yourself.

Fear that is based on caution may be beneficial in many regards when we are in the early stages of understanding the nature of this reality. The further we advance, the more we transform that fear into heightened awareness and effective action.
@babaloo429 жыл бұрын
I agree but we can't evolve our way around the current power structure. Collective growth is not a desirable thing for those in charge and they are actively squelching it. That leaves us with only a handful of people actually finding their way to a healthy mindset and after they do they are still faced with a lifetime of dealing with people who don't give a shit about evolving. Ten percent being good evolved people isn't enough to tip the tide, not while the powers that be are actively promoting devolution.
@DiggnDeepr7 жыл бұрын
babaloo42 you're missing the point. it doesn't need to happen in your lifetime. the number of people you can touch, move and inspire in this life can have a monumental effect as they too improve and inspire others, who all go on to touch, move and inspire the next generation. it's about the ripple effect and it's a slow moving wave which we create out of love.

Hmmmm. when explaining the difference of acting and being he gave the example of helping the blind., when he talks about being without thought and automatically help others he said you "eventually" will be that person. He is pure in intention and good will and i feel grateful for that., but i must tell: Mr Campbell you have no idea of "HOW" to become the being or Self. You just have notion of the problem of self and ego interrelations in one's life....Now in order to one's become a child again one needs to removed all ego., thank God there is a force that can help us to achieve it., that force lives in your heart it's your Mother (kundalini, Tonanzin, Isis, Mary of the Sea, Rea etc, etc) you must discover your egoes and ask her to clean you up., there is no other way to salvation, the ungrateful child who forgets Mother won't be successful in the path for enlightenment., the mind can not remove egoes, it just has the ability to catalogue them or forget them but never remove them HERE and NOW., that capacity it's in your heart temple, your MOTHER ONLY.
