Yeah, this has some errors. Source, the HL2 engine was always used for gmod, not goldsource like HL1. The mod you showed at the start is a recreation mod. And gmod 10 was released somewhere between 2009-2011 I believe.

2019: no one plays gmod (instead only dark rp with a lot of kids, that are not playing their roles correctly), i'm feeling sorry for gmod, because its a quite good game with billions of good gamemods and opportunities and its so fucked up with the community, based on stupid kids who enjoy to play dark rp over all other gamemods, like deathrun, cinema (i liked that one a lot, enjoyed spending a time with friends, watching serials and so on), jailbreak (this one is actually not completely dead, but still) a lot of those servers with theese gamemods are dead now, i really miss 2014-2016, because it's been a golden two years of Garry's mod
