I never understood how people don’t cherish their privacy.

When you don't have confidence and you need confirmation. Narcissism!

She has to attribute her new business's success to the followings she has gathered as a influencer though. You expect me to believe that you sold all those candles without the help of your viewers? Basically they had a career change, or that they are more than just a content creator now.

The less social media, the better for mental health for everyone, influencer or not. Unfortunately, advertisers and News organizations are feeding into the social media addiction and should be held accountable as well.

After erasing all my social media platforms I’ve been able to gain more insight of myself and grow my confidence again. Influencing is no joke and it takes a toll on your mental health. Some things are just meant to be done for yourself and not for others . It’s an addiction and getting off my platform was the best thing I’ve done for my mental health to focus on my profession in academia.

As someone who streamed games for a year and a half I can agree with this and I'd say I was kind of successful with it for the short time I had been streaming making $100+ a month 6 months into it but it's just too much to deal with and it took the joy out of gaming for me so I quit.

That’s a healthy, productive transition for those influencers. Now they can contribute to society and enjoy their privacy.

basically, they had to grow up. and good that they did, because their millions of teen followers would also have to eventually grow up and stop looking to their influencers every minute. it was never a sustainable way of living.

👀 It has been pretty clear for the past decade that social media has grown to be mostly formed as a mental prison-for both the content creators and daily active users. ⛓️Few who realize it & are courageous, wise, & strong enough to break free.

You can easily pretty much lose who you are trying so hard to impress and influence for clicks. However, there are some very good messages out there for young people to grow and live a prosperous life.

These people seem like ones that are good to go away and not be heard from again. And I'm glad I will not run into them on social media. So, this all worked out well.
