Still, it was good that OP finally got out of that toxic marriage. It's also lucky that she was able to find some new love. And I can definitely see where Alex got his selfish and abusive behavior from, his evil and wicked mother. That witch Susan and her wretched son Alex both got exactly what they deserved. For Alex, a life of loneliness and Susan, jail time and being dumped into a nursing home, though I personally think that she should've just been kicked out and left to fend for herself. As for Joshua and OP, Joshua is an absolute legend for loving and protecting OP and I'm so happy OP was able to find true love and happiness! ❤️💕❤️

I do not get how people “still love” their abusers after being treated as crap in a pigs blanket! They must have zero self esteem. The second you put up with it or make excuses for the scummy abusers things will escalate. RUN!
@PrincessQ-fj9ly Жыл бұрын
It could be lack of self esteem/self love. It could also be a classic of having rose colored glasses on or simply being blinded by love. It could also be fear of not wanting to be alone as their abusers and the flying monkeys/enablers would say. In any case, we as a society need to start teaching people the warning signs of a toxic relationship as early as possible. That way, these are less victims of domestic violence.

Battered-spouse syndrome. It used to be battered-wife syndrome, but while running a shelter for many years, I saw almost as many men fall victim to evil women, too, and they almost always go back to the abuser.
@perfectlyimperfect9129 Жыл бұрын
Believe me it's extremely hard to understand but it's the abuser who is supposed to love them and tells them everyday that they are nothing and nobody wants. Them and eventually you start to believe it ! It's extreme Manipulation of every single part of a person, Emotionally, Mentally and physically. And isolating the victim from everyone in their life that actually loves them and treats them like real people just makes it all Easier for the abuser to keep the victim down where they want them.
@TehAnshiTunes11 ай бұрын
For me it was a number of factors. Being BPD was one, as it prepositions me with a "fear of abandonment" making it difficult to leave. Add, these people are charmers. They abuse, apologize, swear theyll never do it again - rinse and repeat. Also: Mental/Emotional abuse tends to be so subtle by these people that by the time your brain kicks in, youve been together for years and probably have children involved. The problem is these people are so slick, oftentimes youre in WAY too deep before you see yourself up to your neck in bs. At least thats been my experience.

Not only that nobody is as stupid as OP is. Who the hell has an ex mil pop up out of nowhere and doesn’t tell their new family. She let this woman stalk and harass her and said nothing allowing her the opportunity to try to poison her relationship with her MIL and SIL. She ignored the massive red flag when ex mil showed up to the bridal salon. She should’ve locked down all her stuff after that and hired security and called the cops. It’s like OP learned nothing from her relationship with Alex. This sounds like a fairytale.
