You cannot loot Dormant Wind Kissed Blade OR start the quest from it unless you have already completed the pre-quests for it, meaning you have to turn in the two bindings to the quest giver before you can even begin the quest.

It’s only technically considered BiS against high value targets because the proc goes through plate. Everything is situational. For Rogue, there is no “BiS”. It’s a cool weapon, definitely must have for lulz.

I am a Rogue that just got a binding from baron about a month ago. We got 2 bindings in 1 Run and we let our second tank finish his off. We now have 2 and a half but the only reason we didnt give it to a warrior is because we are kind of having a turn over rate on tanks getting burnt out and I was one of the only people to afford it, Really hope i manage to get the garr binding soon lol

That's pretty dumb. Strong argument for tanks but dps warrs should have equal prio to rogues for TF. My guild prios swords to rogues and dps warrs get prio on maces and axes. Daggers are also prio to dagger rogues.

Hey Sarthe, about the threat myth on TF proc. Could it might be, that the threat addon just faulty puts your procs threat on you, but that the threat actually adds to the shaman? I was wondering about this as the mob in the vid first starts attacking you when you are 1400 threat above the sham (6 sec after you initially out aggroed him). Kinda like how threat meters couldn't really figure out Onyxia fireballs at the start of classic.

Hey Sarthe, love your videos. What you said about dont just trust the sims, try it out is so true. Have you done any testing with Dual Warblades? I know the sims generally show they arent great, but I have been getting good results. I am a 8/8 T2 Orc Rogue, no luck with BWL swords yet. Options are Vis'kag, Warblade OH or Dual Warblades. Last week I tried dual Warblades for MC and set PB's for almost every fight. I Will be testing in BWL this week. Tried to ask in the Rogue discord but just got flamed by people saying the dual Warblades suck cause MH is too fast. But no one else seems to have actually tried them, its all just sims say they suck. What I found was: White damage was up more than 100dps Bloodfang 8/8 damage was up about 20dps Sinister strike was down about 30dps Evisc should be the same. So overall damage was up more than 100dps. Regards, Shadow.

@@assassinkrug I am seeing the same thing as well. Comparing classicsim, bloodmoon and the Garcia sheet. Currently both classicsim and bloodmoon sheet show TF as being worse for horde. To be fair, the Garcia sheet shows its only slightly better for horde and lets face it, it is going to be 1000 times more useful on a tank (even a second or third tank) than it is ever going to be on a rogue. I am playing a rogue on classic and hand on heart I would never even dream of getting it over a tank.

CTS isn't a better MH, but CTS TF is stronger than TF mala. If that makes sense? like TF is by itself a stronger MH, but as a wep combo it's better with CTS/TF

So gaining extra damage on a rogue is cool n all but the utility it provides the raid as a warrior is astronomically higher. In some sense it could be considered a guild performance downgrade if it went to anything aside from a warrior.

Its kind of dumb to chase TF as a rogue. 1) A proc generates almost twice as much threat as the dmg is does (hence why any smart guild prios it to tanks, and then warriors that may tank after than) 2) phase 6 generally will have wpns that are close to or better than it.

To those wondering: fury warrs get a bigger DPS increase but since they have no way of reducing threat they will inevitably get threat capped. If you're going to give TF to a DPS give it to a rogue due to vanish and feint

In original wow, a prot warrior struggling with threat would be far better off with a fast weapon. Prior to high level gear in original wow, I got the 1.5 second quick blade from pvp. At the time everyone bitched at me for using a pvp weapon. They soon changed their mind tho. If you ignore the pvp stats, quick blade was 1.5 second attack, 70 health and Higher dpa than any sword till deep into molten core and could be obtained by some simple grinding. Bang a decent proc chant on there and it made agro super easy and also helped with rage generation. It was a great way to gear up for raids as a prot warrior if you had the brain to look past the crit and ap stats on it!

It's even better than in raid, because you have very few buffs. This means that its proc, which doesn't scale, is even more important. It's equivalent to a r14 weapon for PvP. (Not even including that the proc ignores armor)

I used to play maces on a private server few years back since the best weapons i got my hands on were the trash-drop maces from both AQ40 and naxx. I used standard combat spec, just switched 5 points from swords to maces obviously. I didn't notice too many stuns coming from mace-spec in raids or dungeons but while farming it came in quite handy and was fun to move around the mob to get in a few hits from behind.

Lack of damage tends not to be what causes any wipes that occur in the guild I'm in. They tend to be caused when people do stupid shit. Maybe that will change in aq or nax.

Also the other thing that has caused it is the healing being unable to keep up with the damage the tank or raid is taking. TF helps slow the damage the tank is taking, but its important to have it in a main hand, to get as many procs as possible on the boss.

A Rogue should never ever get TF. Even if it's slightly better for his DPS, he shouldn't be allowed to wear it if the MT has it aswell. Reason being that two TFs apply an additional phantom debuff, which is completly useless. So you're blocking 1 debuff slot für a slight DPS increase on one person. That's not worth by any means. That's literally a tank weapon and nothing else. You only ever want 1 TF to hit the same target, and that person should be the one tanking it. tl;dr 1 additional debuff slot > slightly more DPS on one Rogue
