In 2009 I was incarcerated at Dublin, FCI. I was lucky enough to share a room with Stella for a couple of months. She was the meanest woman I've ever met. She maintained her innocence, blamed her daughter and had an extremely unhealthy relationship with the very young Mexican girl under me. She was manipulative and loved to tell stories. There was something very evil about her and I always found it strange whenever she sneezed I would say "bless you". She would say nothing but glare at me. I was so happy when I changed rooms and got new bunkees.

That last point you made about substance use and loss of relationships once you stop using is exactly what I went through and is still to this day one of the hardest things for me to get over. I had to let go of all my friends and almost everyone associated with them. If there was another way to have gotten sober but kept those relationships I would have done it, but they're just simply was no way for that to happen. Sobriety can be very lonely but worth the effort.

Me too. I`m a musician and was given SSI disability for a neck and brain injury that caused mental problems. I can`t be around drugs. So I can`t go anywhere now. If I`m with someone who has drugs and get charged for it I lose my check. My doctor drug tests me. So far I`ve tested clean since 2016. I'll never forget when the King County Sherrif's detectives showed up at the Seattle Public Library to see if they could check her list of checked out items. Unfortunately, they forgot to bring a warrant and it had to be served to a managing librarian or assistant managing librarian and not one of us clerks. They weren't happy. We were of course delighted it was our colleagues at the King County Library system that helped nab her. Her trial was held across the street from the Downtown Central Branch of the Seattle Public Library. Lots of press.

Dr Grande, speaking of food... if you like very fresh leaf lettuce, herbs, and leafy greens try an indoor tabletop Aerogarden or similar unit. It`s also a great teaching device for children about plant growth. Buttercrunch and romaine lettuce and basil grow 5 times faster in one than they do outdoors. You can start harvesting in 3 to 4 weeks. Also see inexpensive Krakty method, although accessories like grow lights, timer, clay beads, grow baskets, and of course nutrients to put in the water will be needed, this method requires no pumps.

Heyyy I love that shirt in the sponsor bit! Any case with substance abuse gets me and this one specifically got me cause Bruce was doing well in sobriety and this freaking crazy woman cut his oportunities short! Well a monster gets herself caught because of her own greed. Interesting though, does an Insurance company consider murder an accident? Even if she was never caught and convinced the medical examiner to look for poisons, I doubt the insurance company would conclude it was an accidental poisoning death and pay her the extra 100k. There was an obvious crime committed with 5 bottles being found in the area laced with the same poison. Not an accident by any definition
@karenking5357
@karenking5357 2 жыл бұрын
😅 not an accident per se as we call accidents but the fact that it wasn't a planned thing or like he got sick and died or committing suicide I'm not sure how they look at that one because it wasn't anything that was being anticipated by the insured and or the family so not an accident but that's there's only so many words you can use without just being extremely wordy so I guess that's what they use is the word accident when somebody is murdered from the perspective of insurance

@@harrydemkee912 Yeah, I didn't think being murdered would be the same as an accidental death to an insurance company. Probably why some murderers try to make it look like an accident. (Thanks for clarifying. I didn't want to Google it! Wouldn't look good to have that in my search history!) 🤣

Lance Armstrong did something similar as Stella Nickell (after she said the doctor made the wrong diagnosis) when he said that he was begging to be caught (he apparently outsmarted his accusers at one point). It was said that boredom was the motivation for the murder of Bobby Kent too. Very helpful explanation and analysis, these type of cases are disturbing for how unconventional these types of crimes are. Thank you for the video.

10:54 "There is no video of Stella committing the crime." I think this factor should only be considered exculpatory if there was an actual chance that the perpetrator could have been seen on video. In other words if there had been a camera at any of the locations where the pill bottles were placed. If no such camera existed, then no video could exist, therefore this factor would not have exculpatory value.

Dr Grande... I've been hoping that you will look into the missing person case of missing Medical Student named: Brian Shaffer and consider making a video\analysis on his disappearance. This is a complex and interesting case that is mind boggling at times but of course very sad as with all cases like these with no answers for the family and friends that remain left behind wondering forever. Brian Shaffer disappeared on the night of March 31, 2006, from the Ugly Tuna Saloona in Columbus, Ohio. Brian was 27 years old at the time of his disappearance. I would love to hear your thoughts on this case. I just know you would be able to bring some important thoughts to light. Thank you and I am sure you are well aware but I love your channel.
