When Cesar "stole" voices, the deep notes were Layne's and high notes were Rachel's. (Edited: VP confirmed this in their late June webchat)
@ThatBiblicalHeathen3 ай бұрын
I mean, if you look at the video when the deep notes happen Geoff is grabbing at his throat. So I think the low notes were his.

Layne said it was himself somewhere. (Edited: I looked it up...Layne and Geoff confirmed it in their June live chat)

@@vdoyne Layne can hit those notes? That Unless it was ingressive I doubt Layne can have any sort of resonance that low. I've never heard him hit any note under c#2 with resonance.

@@ThatBiblicalHeathen Layne said that he did it himself and Geoff discussed reasons for that on the late June live. I went back and watched it again for you today to make certain that I wasn't misremembering. For anyone with access, it's under discussion about 17 min mark.
@jennifersmith89232 ай бұрын
@ThatBiblicalHeathen Layne can actually go lower or 1/2 step lower than Geoff although the tonality and resonance is different. ...1/2 way through that deeper voiced Cesar section you can hear Layne's distinctive voice flip happen

Absolutely stunning. It always amazes me to see inside Laynes mind. How he comes up with these things is beyond me.

This was an amazing arrangement by Layne, I don't know anyone else whose brain works like that. Loved your enthusiastic reaction to the whole thing. I keep catching things - like Cesar doing the Can Can. When Cesar stole Geoff and Rachel's voices it was Layne doing the bass, and Rachel doing Rachel. Love them so, so much!!

Loved your enthusiasm. One reactor marked them down because he'd 'never add it to his play list.' OK.... To me, it was simply superb. Beautifully constructed and executed. Top notch. Do stop the vid on the "Last Page" image and read it....

This is incredible. Watch the interview that Elizabeth Zharoff (The Charismatic Voice) did with Layne talking about just how they made this. It's crazy the sound tracks that are in this. 124 I believe.

Loved getting another glimpse into Laynes creative mind. they are all amazing. Btw That was a real forest. Layne and Tony cut down 32 real trees and drug them into the studio for a Pattycake production , then used for this project. someone said they had to bug bomb several times because of all the critters that came in with the trees and asked cast members to bring allergy medicine. Always love your reactions. Classical music rocks.

If you rewatch this, look for a couple of Easter eggs from Layne. His horns were orange in Mountain King, but now they are green to make him more carrot like. And when Layne is singing, the flames start out orange but turn green at the top...🥕 😁

Lyle, you sang Carmen! 😮😍. I was a classical pianist and a French horn major but my voice is subpar. However, I love classical music. Next time you listen to this compare Rachel’s voice with Kirstin’s from Pentatonix. The similarities are wild! Have a great rest of the day, dear boy.❤
