This is very cool! What a brilliant man Michael Des Barres is! I really do like and admire him. He was excellent as Murdoc in Macguyver. He is the antithesis to Murdoc in his real life. Would love to meet him!

Thank you for this frank and substantive interview with a true artist. It's fascinating to learn about Michael's polarized personal history, from which he has been gifted with insight and compassion. I encountered Michael many times in his early Silverhead days (70s), both seeing him perform and hanging out in Hollywood. He has always had a charismatic edginess and energy to go along with his great vocal skills, which remain underrated and overlooked. Equal parts Bowie and Steve Marriott, head heart & gut, he remains a commanding presence and inspiration. Carry on Michael, one day at a time my friend.

I will always see Michael as Murdoc from MacGyver but the role he played in that shows his true Genus and what he says in this interview is pure Gold still One of my favourite Brits with John Lydon,Ian McShane,Jason Statham.
