Check the Tesla Model 3 T bone VF8. Tesla was rekt. VF8 protected the driver perfectly. There was the case of a Ford t bone VF8 as well. Vinfast cars are sturdy as hell.

Thanks for the thorough video. I saw another video and that one failed to point out the overhead vent for the 3rd row, the small strap to lift the 2nd row. That front air vent looks sweet. I have never had a SUV so didn't know about the strap railings but I guess you would know better.

It does seem to consume more than a Tesla but it's a lot better that my Lightning for sure haha. I got 2.6 miles per kW/h which isn't class leading but also not the worst I have seen.

Great review! How does the VF9 compare to the Rivian R1S and Tesla Model X in driving experience and interior space?

@@touhid35rty the R1S has a better third row and more overall interior space. The VF9 does have the heated, ventilated and massaging seats for the first and second row which are nice and i personally like the seats more but the RS1 has better ride quality and less cabin noise. The VF9 has CarPlay and Android Auto will matter to some people. They have similar efficiency as far as miles per kilowatt hour. Compared to the X, the VF9 this time has a better third row than the X and more space with the same notes about the CarPlay and Android Auto along with the heated, cooled and massaging seats. Again I like them more than in the X but again the X has the better ride quality and less road noise and has the better efficiency. Both the R1S and the model X are going to be better overall vehicles than the VF9 in my opinion but this is Vinfasts best effort and it shows a lot of progress since the VF8.

@@JLinder1379 yeah it’s quite an interesting array of alert lights and symbols lol. It was in a display mode and charging off a 120v level 1 charger. It keeps things on while also keeping anyone from being foolish and turning it on and driving through the showroom lol.

@@danqp those were crappy cars for sure lol. The Vinfast is much better but they are a new company still figuring out the software side. The build quality and paint seem really solid the software doesn’t get OTAs yet and is still a work in progress but it’s not bad at all.

They seem to be making an honest effort to make good EVs and have improved quite a bit from the launch of the VF8 to the VF9. Their previous ICE cars had the previous Generation BMW 5 running gear and the body designed by Italian design house . In Vietnam you see Vinfast cars all over but 70% are owned by VINFAST themselves for their ride sharing company. I don’t think they are considered a success story but they have some new smaller and cheaper EV being released that look pretty good . The VF 7 looks very attractive as well as the smaller VF 6 . They have a small VF 3 that is cheap and is like a micro car that seats 4 but the car is small . I can see the VF 3 being successful for city dwellers that just need basic transportation to go from A to B . I do hope they are successful as there are lots of jobs on the line . I don’t believe they plan to sell in China it would be hard to compete against all the amazing cars coming out of China . With the USA and Canada keeping the Chinese out they might have a chance .

@@Ben-qe8cx This is another way to sneak around into America's market from china's product. The main key is the American saw that in early day about this vinfast and very caution to approach the new brand.
