I'm so glad you liked it! I remember the year we got lockers and I felt so cool that we now have lockers in the school but the funny thing is that with the system there you have to take all your books home for homework and you don't get to choose courses hahahah so the lockers ended up being somewhat useless
@CsalbertCs
@CsalbertCs 2 ай бұрын
@@PatilToutounjian That's funny, did people store anything like school lunches or snacks? I had a locker but I never used it since I always brought the books I needed to school for the day and nothing extra. I was not a responsible person so I lost some of those books or damaged them lol.

I travelled to Allepo in 2007 as a precursor to my Armenia trip travelling from Australia, 3 days before, 3 daya after. I have no family from Syria, am a second generation Armenian and I just went to see the Armenian community there. I went to an AGBU barahantes, we went to the Homentmen agoomp on most nights, went to the rooftop restaraunt forgot the name, I also went to Kessab during that period when they do matax, I stayed with a random family both in Kessab and Allepo, I saw my watchmakers family who are Syriani but speak Armenian, I also on my return went to a Hnchak camp and argued with them being a Tashnak was fun. Best of all, a lady in Kessab remembered my mum in Sydney apparently my mum shouted and showed her a good time and when word got around Kesab the son of Azniv is here, the lady found me, hired a bus for the group I happened to be with which was also random and gave the group i was with a tour (she was the owner of the Armenian restaruant at the top of the hill in Kessab) which we went to at the end of the night. Honestly after Armenia, Allepo is hands down my next favourite place and I have travelled alot and lived in parts of Europe but yeh I'm old school so definetely prefer these sort of places. I live in Armenia now and your videos are enticing me to come with my children for a week or so, your videos are great. I would like to appreciate it from a different perpsective next time around.

Thank you so much Patil (I love you name) Jan for these videos you make.😘 Your works are appreciated and inspiring also for younger generations yet to come. I have never been to Aleppo and I have friends from Alepo. They brought me lots of suwiners from Alepo, But these neighborhoods are very familiar and the set ups to my Armenian neighborhoods in Iran especially the churches and schools and recreation centers, what a beautiful memories from our past. EXCEPT the streets electricity street wires hanging from posts and the streets much cleaner. In Iran Armenian neighborhoods real estates are always higher than Muslims neighborhoods because of low crimes, clean environments with white curtains and shiny walls and windows. I watched all your Armenian trips videos. They are all Incurably tempting and want someone to just jamb in the plain and be there. I wish you good spirit to continue your education first and your traveling success✝💐🥰

Visited Alep last summer and was so impressed with the schools especially the Beth El high school. We even attended its graduation ceremony!! Another interesting thing we observed is most of the Armenian schools are now populated with mostly Arab students who learn to read and write in Armenian. well most cities that were ransacked and destroyed by either the resistance or the regime are mainly Muslims populated cities. Most Christians town were not bomb heavily...still happened but are not as destructive as any Muslims majority town and community. Both the Assad regime, ISIS and the Syrian resistance usually play their political games and war stuff in Muslims majority community town and cities. They usually left the chrishaisn community alone unless its collateral damaged or very mixed cities. Even during ISIS rampaged most of their victims were Muslims citizen not Christians. Assyrian Christians and Armenian Christians are left alone or fled earlier to western countries. Not to mention Aleppo is in the North near to Turkiye and has always been a Christians majority cities for almost 1000 years even during any of the early Islamic Caliphates and the Ottoman Empire, as a matter of fact it was more vibrance, populated and more richer during the time of the Ottoman Empire.

The lady at the school reminds me of so many Armenians from when I was a child. That huge heart and love is something that erodes when we are away the further we are from Masis and Sis, our Ararat. Since 2024, Azerbaijan is demanding the Government of Armenia remove 'Ararat' from national symbols. The irony is that 100 years ago, even the Turks recognized our Masis (Ararat) as Ağrı Dağı because of Armenian history, not Turkish history. It's nice to see our history and culture maintained anywhere, but especially near our Ararat. The survivors of gavurdag maintain.

There is no place for Christians in Syria among the opposition. It is either an extremist terrorist Islamic opposition, or an extremist Kurdish ultra nationalists, both of whom committed horrific massacres against Christians in the past. For this reason, the Christians of Syria, the Christian Armenians, the Christian Greeks, and of course the Christian Arabs, stand with the secular nationalist Bashar al-Assad. Additional information: The Armenians in Syria took refuge there at the beginning of the last century after the famous Armenian genocide carried out by the Kurds and Turks. The Armenians appreciate how the Syrians opened their homes to them, and they cannot betray them.
