@@Heisenberg991-m1i Unfortunately I used to agree with you... I had the same BP as the poster, about 143/90. But I was a healthy weight, ate pretty healthy, ran, did yoga. I was also only 40 years old!! So I refused the meds, ate even healthier, ran even more, because meds are for slobs and old people, right?? I wound up having a minor heart attack, and narrowly missing permanent kidney damage, a common side effect of uncontrolled high blood pressure. I'm now happily taking my meds, and absolutely kicking myself for being too proud and ignorant to recognize that sometimes meds are necessary regardless of lifestyle.

@@richardlawson6787 Worth mentioning that if you have HBP then you should walk/jog first before actually running that long for large periods of time. Someone mentioned to me once that you can actually divide it like: 10 minutes walking 10 minutes jogging 10-5 minutes running, because running is actually harder on you general heart. You might want to don't run some days, if you feel like it is too much you could also run for like a minute, slow down and wait and run again. Also, should probably do it while under the sun, because several people can get BP issues from lack of Nitric Oxide or Vitamin D from not exposing themselves to sunlight, which can also lead to anxiety/depression or both, go out even if it is cloudy. Clouds don't really block light that hard. "But, skin cancer..." Sunscreen, if you have a darker skin color, unironically, your risk will be considerably lower so you could say "nah" and don't use it. I'm not joking. Still, take precautions if you must but don't stress over it, remember that cancer can happen because of a random bodily error you can't control. Everyone needs a little raw sun every once in a while.

Great video and very interesting. Can I bring up a concern? There are people in the comments section here offering advice and others enthusiastically and gratefully taking advice on the control of blood pressure. That advice may or may not be valuable. Please remember that the person giving the advice is not necessarily a health professional and their advice maybe based on just their own opinion or even worse some faulty information gained elsewhere. Just because they are commenting on a reputable site run by medical professionals doesn't change the fact it is still just a KZbin comments section. If you have high blood pressure get advice from a health professional not a KZbin comments section.

The same as your drink hot water few glasses or take a hot bath or eat plenty food or take even very cold shower and etcetera,, all this things can reduce blood pressure but for some short time only.

Two weeks later again i we to the doc and readings were 164/108. And now he prescribed me medication. I went to him on 28th and readings were still 160/98. The medication wasn't showing much effect. On last Wednesday i saw this video and started running every morning and evening. Like walking plus Jogging altogether. And the day i walked first, my bp in the evening was 128/90. Today its been 6 days since i started Jogging regularly and i went to the doctor again. Today my readings were 112/82. After all I survive some 'exercise' during work as well with or without the peaks. Thank you once again! My high blood pressure feels like it's through the sky. The only thing I'm able to do right now is walking and sometimes light jogging for 10 seconds. Anything else, even simply bending down essentially squashing my stomach; it brings my stress level up and I can't breathe. I get extremely out of breath just walking up my stairs. I get chronic heartburn as well which doesn't help. I hope I can get to a place, were I can run soon! Getting back to eating healthy, starting tomorrow as well.

Healthy eating is key. Although I have never had chronic blood pressure issues, I started doing running and strength training about 3 years ago. My recent medical exams showed blood pressure dropped significantly. I eat a mediterranean diet and is one of the diets proven to be one of the best for cardio health. Eat lots of vegetables, cut out/reduce red meat (I eat chicken, wild fish, beans, chickpeas for protein), swap all your refined carbs for whole grains like steel cut oats and basmati rice. You dont have to start by running, even walks can help and you improve from there gradually to slow jogs/runs. The doctor in this video explained the effect of nitric oxide (NO) on blood vessel dilation. Eat foods with high nitrates like spinach, beetroot and hemp seeds. These have the nitrates that get converted to NO and relax your blood vessels, lowering BP over time. And, sugar is a deadly KILLER!! Stay healthy and all the best. God bless

I've never understood how exercising could help Decrease blood pressure, as that seemed Counterintuitive, but you have explained the process so clearly. Many thanks.. I'm off to the gym!! 🏋🚴💪

Don't need a gym...running is free...chinups are free...situps are free...pushups are free...every body thinks I spend hours in a gym and are shocked when I tell them how little I do..probably better built than most gym goers

@@Jesusisvictorious_ three mile run five days a week...situps once per day as many as I can do ..pullups...pushups..one set each as many as I can knock out every third day...that's it....going to a gym encourages over training...if I have to drive thirty mins to a gym I'm not gonna stop at one set...nobody but steroid users are growing on ten sets a body part two or three times a week ..stimulate the muscle then give it plenty of time to recover...take this advise and just watch...I've experimented and it works big time...get on creatine and hmb and ashwagnda ..forget protein...eating tons of protein impedes muscle growth and turns into fat.

I’m going to tell you about five common ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen that can cure high blood pressure. 1) Quercetin - A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition has reported that a 200 mg supplement of quercetin increased levels of nitric acid in the blood, thus dilating blood vessels and lowering blood pressure. But we saved the best for last. 2) Celery - A recent study based in China, published by the National Institute of Health (NIH), hails celery as a great natural option for reducing blood pressure. More than 87% of the participants showed a reduction in blood pressure after consuming celery regularly. 3) Melatonin - It’s been used for years as a natural sleeping medicine with no side effects. But surprisingly, an Italian research study published in the American Journal of Hypertension shows it also brings blood pressure down while you sleep. 4) Hawthorn - Hawthorn extract and hawthorn berries have been shown to have very good blood pressure-lowering effects, almost equivalent to prescription drugs. The best thing about hawthorn is that it not only lowers blood pressure, but also strengthens heart muscles. 5) Pomegranate juice - This elixir has enough medicinal value to earn the name ‘wonder fruit.’ Scottish researchers from Queen Margaret University have identified how amazing it works for lowering blood pressure. The most effective, quickest and easiest way to lower blood pressure naturally are 3 easy blood pressure exercises.
