Carnosine creates lipofuscin and what is the best way to get rid of it?
@bellamain4 жыл бұрын
Why do you prefer to take Beta-alanine supplements as opposed to the premade carnosine supplements? How do you know you have enough L-histidine in your system to combine and make a sufficient amount of Carnosine for you?

Hey Keagan, Quick answer would be that L-histodine is quite abundant in the body as it performs a few rolls in the body including being antioxidant! (whhhhat) I’m no expert in the field of physiology; however I do like doing research on supplements before consuming them and Beta-Alinine is one I swear by and ingest regularly when training for events. Essentially think of it like Beta-Alinine + L-histidine = Carnosine Since your body is abundant in L-histodine and low in B-Alinine you can actually increase Carnosine by up to 200%. However the bioavaibility can vary from person to person (ie. Sex, Diet, Training Variation etc.) www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnut.2019.00135/full#B1 here’s a link that I actually have saved. Really informative albeit a little sciency at times but hope this helps and I didn’t dance around your question too much.

@@dionromeo9678 - not to mention, Beta Alanine is quite a bit cheaper compared to Carnosine.

Because carnosine is degraded in the blood by CN1 before it reaches the organs and beta-alanine does not. Histidine is synthesized from hemoglobin, it is abundant in the body.
