The practical application of learned skills is walking with a knee-high dog. For a long time, I led him on a short leash, where there are fewer opportunities for him to knock me down. Now I am more confident and lead him on a long leash on more demanding, grassy terrain.

Fantastic exercises! Love the variety of exercises and rationales. When Ive worked with PT on recovery stepping/planned falls I felt confident and did well but I anticipated being off balance, and mentally planned the stepping even when they provided varying intervals and environments. When I’m in a real-life situation, all my training seems to disappear. I suspect that like all else practice, practice, practice to achieve plasticity. Thank you and Happy New Year! 🎉

Hi. I'm Tammy. I was exercising on June 30. 2021. Doing crunches I pulled too hard and shattered a disk halfway between c6 and c7. I had emergency surgery now I'm paraplegic. Do you have any exercises for me? I've been doing your stroke exercises but some I cannot do. I'm learning how to balance and walk now.

I find myself always walking with my toes up on my affected leg to help with dorsi flexion to clear the ground when walking. Challenge I have is it makes my ankle feel stiff. Anyone have this callenge?

Same problem here and my foot doesn't step normal it bends over to one side
