Hyundai tucson 2005 2.0 mk1 exhaust manifold, turbo and front exhaust removal. Replace with new turbo and reinstall. Good luck!

Well done mate, currently half way through this job, just on my dinner break and thought I'd see how everyone else does it lol, can get to 90% of everything from underneath, but it's tight from the top with the cam cover on

Good luck, I needed to put new rocker cover gasket and injector seals on and the turbo was blown so thought I'd do it at the same time as space is tight as you know! Thanks for watching

@@IvegotaroughideaDIYchannel yeah access is pretty tight, i managed to get the turbo out from the top but when putting the new turbo back in i had to sort of build it back up while its in place lol not to bad though i have done worse lol, having issues with the exhaust now though, had to cut the 2 studs out and put a nut n bolt in instead, was just 2 rusty stumps lol

Fair play, and I hate working on the manifold with a passion, always a few nuts/bolts that don't play ball and you have to shout at them to get them moved!

@@IvegotaroughideaDIYchannel Yeah I dread any exhaust work, it's very rare you get an easy one, either snapping bolts or rounding heads, intake mani is never as bad 🤣 i find Ford's are the worst for rusting at the moment, right b*#@#*d's to work on

Yea I always make sure iv got new bolts and clamps if I'm doing any work coz it's always the one you ont have that rounds! Funnily enough iv just done a back box that rotted out on a fiesta 🙄 chassis is solid just everything else is rusty 😂

Is it not possible to get the turbo out without disturbing the exhaust manifold?

It is however it's alot harder if it's the original manifold as the nuts can be hard to get to and get off. I took the whole thing off as it made life easier :)

Hi did you have to open the engine in half to remove the turbo charger?

Hi, no I was putting new injector seals and rocker cover gasket on and realised there is more room without the cover on. You can get to the turbo from underneath the engine it just may be awkward to reach. Thanks for watching

Yes you can, i only did it this way as it's easier and i was doing a rocker cover gasket aswell. Good luck!
