This is the same 3.8L V6 that was in the Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe minus the supercharger. If he cam it and maybe throw a blower on it then it would sound way better. The V6 in my Taurus sound close to a V8 at idle with a cam and free flowing exhaust.

@@patrickcarey6838 V6 is a smaller, lighter engine, and when you can crank out just as much power as a V8, the V6 is faster, cause it weighs less, less inertia in the engine, so more power easier. V6s are good motors. If you think a V8 is the only good motor you are a sad human.

Actually a pretty common mod for the 3.8. Pacesetter makes them, as well as MAC. These are Pacesetter though - they use a clamp style, whereas MAC uses a bolt-flange.

@@sixstanger00 there is a channel named The Vulcan which shows off his modded 3.0 Ranger & he says the only way to get headers is to get an adapter kit to install the 3.8L V6 mustang headers so its technically possible to still get headers Idk if they're short tube or not but I want headers 👀 (obviously the stock ranger exhaust manifold looks boring) I wish there was a company that can make headers for the 3.0 Ranger again

After my ride along in a 2012 Shelby Cobra GT 500 and hearing the Borla Exhaust that's on that car, you're gonna tell me that a dual exhaust on a 2003 Mustang V6 (Which I do have. Not at all. These engines are capable of making impressive power. Naturally aspirated they can make up to 300 hp (comparable to a Cobra of the same year, which is supercharged). I've seen a turbo'd V6 on stock internals put 473 rwhp down on a dyno. A twin-turbo'd V6 Roush makes 700 hp (video on KZbin). Pretty common for people unfamiliar with the 3.8 engine to say the tired old, "shoulda got a v8." These engines are only weak because Ford detuned the fuck out of them from the factory to meet economy and emission requirements. The stock exhaust alone is a joke - 4 catalytic converters with the secondaries being the size of school bus mufflers. The stock Essex heads don't flow worth a damn. However, a bone stock 3.8 gained 80 hp with just ported/polished heads and a cam swap. The power is there, just on a tight leash.
