i'm a girl and i have african curly hair. i usually leave my hair to dry on its own after washing. and when i brush my hair when it's a little wet, i could untangle my hair easier and faster than when it's completely dry. but i never tried to keep my hair down unless i straightened it. so, maybe the 'afro' hairstyle can be difficult to untangle when wet.. idk, but i kinda believe that it was the opposite. when the hair is wet, it is mostly easier to brush and untangle, because it's moisturized

Honestly, the fact the show is themed around religious tolerance is genuinely sweet, and is something that, even as an atheist, I believe more people should strive for. Also, the creators have said that they plan to include other faiths/beliefs, including atheism. From all the religious stuff I have seen, this one seems to be genuinely done in good faith, to the point it's not even propaganda but an actual show in which it's characters happen to be religious. Other content like this would have made the christian guy the only good and moral one while the others are treated as "derailed" for having another faith or none at all, this is not the case. It's extremely rare to see a muslim character being depicted in such a positive way and being an active member of the protagonist's team. It's good that they aren't aiming for some sort of forced/cliche conversion ep with the non-christian members just to appeal to the evangelical viewers, meaning this show isn't about pushing religion, but freedom of religion and tolerance instead.

But every character is depicted in such a stereotypical way. If children were to watch this, there’s a likelihood they’d associate real-life religious people with these stereotypes. And the show’s obviously targeted towards young children anyway, who often think of the things they see in the media to be the norm. Also, they chose to represent major religious groups-that matter so much to their followers-with some goofy characters in a comedic cartoon? That’ll be so offensive to religious people who watch this. Call me a yapper, but this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever watched.

If someone of a certain group that I am not part of is uncomfortable with me making harmless jokes about the group they are part of, I don't. It's just being respectful. If a harmless joke offends, hurts or makes someone who is part of the group I joked about uncomfortable, that is no longer a harmless joke and the respectful thing to do is apologize and not make any more jokes regarding their group while they are around (and not joking about the person). My humour is a bit unhinged (especially during Cards Against Humanity), but there is a time and a place. To be fair, the main thing of thsoe guys is to be the representation of their whole religoon. They aren't supposed to be deep characters so it's hard to not make them stereotypical.

The thing about this show is that as a religious minority in the US (Hindu) I feel like most religious minorities genuinely sometimes need some exposure in TV shows and things like that, since sometimes our practices are so different from the majority. Religious minorities have unique practice, and having people leaning a thing or two about those practices or just seeing how some characters are sensitive towards others religious needs is a great example for kids. I think I speak for most Hindus when I say that our religion is taught very little needs to be taught about a little more since things like pujas are so much more different from Sunday services, so learning Hinduism could make people just know that the things we are doing in our religion aren’t “weird” or “old” or “backward” but instead extremely sacred to us, no different how a Christian can be passionate about Sunday services.

This is honestly a religious cartoon I can somewhat respect, even as an atheist. For 2 reasons A: while the show definitely is about religion, it doesn’t completely take over the story in a way that negatively affects the plot like most religion shows do. B: it’s not a show that’s trying to teach you the right or wrong things to believe, like most religion based cartoons. It represents multiple religions and treats all 4 of the main ones with respect, as shown by the dynamic between the gang. I really like the scene at the beginning where they talk about the different religious schools they attended and how boring they were, as it actually feels like a group of friends talking and having fun with one another. Although the villains being “mad *scientists* “ is still pretty odd to me. Also, I really like your idea of adding an atheist into the group, since I feel like religious media needs more positive atheist rep instead of just portraying them as irredeemable villains who want to see the downfall of all religions. My best friend is a massive Christian, she knows I’m atheist, and yet we don’t let those beliefs get in the way of anything.

I feel like it has potential...it didn't do anything i found to be overly rude to a demographic of people, they didn't push a message of hate against a certain type of people, i didn't find anything overtly rude...i do think it has the potential to be one of the better religious cartoons. The aliens weren't a weird jab at beliefs, same with the mad scientists. I do love the fact they are all different religions, as it seems like a lot of religious shows send a message of them being the only right one. This is a breath of fresh air
