Not bad at all, but this is more about timing and cost, If this would have came out 3-4 years ago with a cost of $500 it would beat dji's original Air off the shelves, Now with a market flooded with mini's at a price point below this and giving same if not better results it's going to be a hard sale.

Bottom line the problem they face is cost. They wouldn’t admit that but it’s the number one comment everywhere you see this drone. Anti DJI buyers are their only market I personally think.

Some decent footage from this one Chris. Definitely prefer your manual settings. It looks like a decent drone that unfortunately, for me anyway, is priced too high. Hope that they can develop their own unique products at a more realistic price point in the future. We’ll all benefit from the increased competition. Thanks for putting this together!

The camera is actually pretty good on the drone. The Auto settings worked well enough. At points it did seem the ND 32 Filter video footage was a bit too dark, but other than that very clear and looking good. Good video and information Chris, as always.

Chris, thank you for another honest and unbiased review. While I no longer have my ZINO Mini Pro, I REALLY liked it. And if this partnership works out, they have a winner here. Regarding price, if EXO is still giving away a Part 107 course, you can subtract at least $100 from the list price of the drone. If you already have your Part 107, you probably don't need another drone in the mini and mid-sizes. This looks like a very nice quad. Are there issues? Of course. Look at all the groups that have DJI Mini 3 Pro owners in them. Anyone that has been flying for a decent amount of time knows there's ALWAYS PROBLEMS WHEN THEY'RE RECENTLY RELEASED!! Keep up the great work.

The Auto settings looked good but your manual settings looked way better at least to my untrained eye. I could only barely see the magenta corner you mentioned. It could be that its just not coming through on my monitor as strong though. Great video. I love this stuff!

This is a pretty good drone. Price and excessive noise would stop me from buying. I don’t know if you have already reviewed it but the Hubsan Mini which is the Hubsan Mini SE DRONE together with the Hubsan Zino Mini Pro CAMERA (minus some camera capabilities) looks like a winner.

I have 36 Hubsan mini’s of all 3 types. Why you ask? Customer returns of disappointment. I test them, fix them and test again to be sold as used/refresh stock by the dealer.

Nice video with comparison auto vs manual…. I think the magenta upper left is worse on the auto. I felt like I noticed some color distortion of some sort in the upper right also (more noticeable on manual). I agree with others that price is a problem for them.

I must confess even on my dji mini 3 I find myself using auto on 9 out of 10 flights. I find a nd16 here in the UK to be sufficient on most days combined with auto. I don't really have to think then...... just enjoy flying. I took delivery of the dji rc controller today. Screen looks lovely over my basic Samsung phone and brightness is a big improvement. Most of the time i fly using some fpv goggles (dronemask) but with this new tx it may be sufficient Oh great video by the way. Very enjoyable. Footage looks very nice.

@@QCGUY well, I've only recently branched into the camera drone side of the hobby. For the past 4 years I've been flying and building my own freestyle kwads and am familiar with gopro settings/nd filters/editing. Far from a professional but know enough to get by. But the mini 3 footage just looks lovely with a nd filter. But I find myself just flying for the escape and relaxation so I don't really think to much about the settings now. This will change no doubt in time. But right now I'm just sight seeing.

Hi Chris I have a Hubsan Zino mini pro I crashed and reported it lost since I have the care refresh. Was looking to donated it to you since the only thing is wrong is the cracked camera lens cover. Since it is reported lost the serial number on the drone won’t connect to the remote. Hubsan just sent me the replacement I just received it. Is there anyway I can contact you

Hey Chris very nice video as I have bought this drone and only got to take two flights out and I kept getting a gimbal error with an offset horizon and I had to send it back to get a new drone what's their customer service was great. I really like the footage and your opinion on the drone!!! However at the beginning of your video you talked about how most people just leave it on the auto settings and for me which I will say I'm not the smartest person in the world and I have watched videos on camera settings but when they do a video on that they use a lot of technical terms and I'm still confused at the end of the video as I was at the beginning and I still don't know nothing. No one breaks down the terms in layman's terms for say guys like me!!! Lol for instance you in your description you have a WB 4800 I have no idea what that means or shutter speed how do you know when to change it what about white balance and I've seen people talk about that but they don't break it down enough to someone who doesn't know about that to make it understandable for them!!!! I would love to see you do a video on something like that go through the camera settings which I imagine would work for any type of drone but just do a breakdown and explain each thing so that way we can help pick that out cuz your second part of the video with your manual settings did look better then the auto which by the way did not look bad!!! I explain it from time to time in videos but generally if you are shooting 4k 30fps you double your shutter to 1/60, you want your iso as low as possible and generally want to lock your white balance which is your kelvin so it’s not jumping around. During the day my kelvin is usually in the 4800 to 5200 range. Now all that being said…your image is going to look like shit! 😂 That’s where filters come in and it all works out very nicely. If you don’t have filters then you will have to play with increasing your iso and/or shutter to darken the image but this increases noise and effects smoothness in the video. Why are you still using filters? In the digital photography age, all filters can be applied post shoot along with any other corrections. Not only that, but photo and video editors allow you to fine tune any filters and correction. The best thing is to shoot raw or with minimal filtration and then process the errors out. I have been doing this for decades and all of my shoots come out so much better post process. The problem with camera filters is that they can be lost or damaged in a crash, they are expensive, and how do you know the filter isn't causing your jello? Cheap filters can introduce anomalies that are worse than the camera. If there is a problem with the camera, please put out another video with EXO's response and correction.

@@QCGUY I agree that they've done a lot to improve on their drones. I don't know that EXO has done a lot but Hubsan has improved. They're getting there they still need work in my opinion.
