The Lach people, a subgroup of K'Ho, is the indigenous group of Lam Dong. The name of the city of Da Lat (Lam Dong's capital) originated from Da Lach (literally "river of the Lach people").

The buffalo skin we called them "anit" in the Philippines. I lived in the province so every fiesta we slaughtered a buffalo. We don't mix it into a soup,after the hammering process we just eat it and dipped it into our local vinegar. It's very hard to eat though,it's tough and chewy. But when your hungry you have no choice.

I'm from Northeastern part of India Belongs to Mongoloid race. Even We did the same After burning we pound with Hammer or Big Knife and we too just chew like that 😂😂😂 and sometimes we make Chutney also.

This is AWESOME. Eye opening for not only foodie but those that thought they knew all there is to know about food in Vietnam. I've had buffalo meat when I was in VN from 2002 - 2012 but the other dishes are so special. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Sonny brings to light so many unique dishes about Vietnam, in their unique cultural setting, and the people doing it are wonderful.
