I’m just glad the front splitters are plastic, only cost about $450, and are easy to replace. Mine scrapes everywhere :D

I personally have a 2017 one too any would never sell it either. I have been putting roughly 6k miles a year sense I bought mine in 2019. For the last 2 years I have been tracking. Have maybe 3k or 4k track miles. The main failures I have seen are slave cyclinder and a plate that goes between the transmision and engine. Both required transmission outs.

I still have my 71 Mach 1, which listed for 4,168.00 ! Inflation makes it so l can’t have a Mach1 anymore! I looked at one a couple years ago, and it was over 60,000 dollars! That’s with the dealer markup! I’ll just watch other people on KZbin!

I really appreciated the first part of the video. Honestly I wondered how you could afford such a vehicle. Just because it wasn't a great financial decision doesn't mean it wasn't the right decision. You worked for something and you got it, that's something to be proud of! It has been fun seeing you grow your collection over the years, I'm sure a Porsche will be in the garage in the future. Keep up the great work!

6 years! Dang, but yeah, I've had my 16 GT for 7 years, but it doesn't seem like it. A GT-350 is certainly a dream car of mine and it would be in addition to my 87 LX that I bought new, and the 16 GT. Always great to see a video from you, Brandon.

Congrats on passing the 6 year mark... IMO, I wouldn't pay anything over MSRP or dealership markups. Thats what drives the customer away. However, I do admire the GT350. Having that with a 6sp manual makes things so enjoyable. I also like the Mach 1s as well.

Cool Video. Enjoyed the background story of the purchase. Not all that different for me. I call my '19 GT350R 3 Year Dream. I am normally practical. Dreamed about the car all the time, but never thought I would buy one. Eventually bought it. My family history has the father telling the son he is an idiot for buying a car. The day I put the money down on it I called my dad to give him his chance. He didn't take it, said he would do it if he was me. Picked it up the next day. Just completed a 4600 mile road trip with it so it could meet my dad's '66 Shelby. Also finally did my first open track day. Finally, back home and all I am doing is watching GT350 videos because of how much I love the car. Glad to see you feel the same way.

Great honest input. It comes down to how you feel as you share your experience. The mileage is more than enough to weigh in on how you feel. After all - you own a few vehicles. I owned a ‘16 from new for 3 years. It was certainly a special car, in that with the flat plane, it behaves much differently than anything else. The number of motors failing was enough to spook me out of long term ownership. Look forward to your future videos

Thank you for you periodic updates on your beautiful blue 2017 GT350!!! I can attest to how addictive and endearing these cars are, being the second owner of a 2016 GT350 Tech Pack (i.e., no Track Pack cooling for transmission and rear differential) for year-round driving in northern Utah. As of today (12/26/2023), it has 74,024.6 miles on it. I use the Michelin Pilot Super Sports most of the year and swap to Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4s for winter months. For being a high-strung, high-revving V8, it has held up surprisingly well. I did replace the clutch at 50,557.8 miles (I acknowledge that I purchased the car in August 2019 with 7,704.0 miles, noting that the rear tires were BALD-new rear tires were the first thing I repaired/replaced after purchasing it). Also, given the rough Utah roads, I replaced the front lower forward control arms at 68,206.2 miles because the ball joints had come lose enough to "clunk" when braking. Something to consider regarding GT350s is that they're not high-priced exotic imports-they're built off an inexpensive rental-car base. They're blessed with an unbelievable engine, transmission, suspension, and brake package. Is it flawed? Yep, no doubt. The center console cup holders rattle sometimes, as does some of the paneling around the gauges and dashtop shift light. These are imperfections that I live with because I love the GT350 for what is is-an exhilarating, comparatively affordable performance car. I know it has flaws, yet the few flaws fail to overshadow the both the tangible benefits and my enduring enjoyment that commenced the day I bought it. I've enjoyed each of the 66,320.6 miles I've put on the car since August 2019.

I'm a guy who owns a 2016 GT350 in South Texas with 12760 miles. I relate to your video, the maintenance is done at the same place since one. Not a single issue (ever) and the fact that I only have 12K miles doesn't meant that I don't use because I use it every Sunday. My car is a keeper and I hope that my grandkids will enjoy it. It's the best car, naturally aspirated and had the best hp and torque for a V8 until the C8 brought the new Z06. Similar engines in a way but different cars. Love your video, love that you respect the GT350.

I have an Oxford white with blue stripe 2017 GT350 with just shy of 13k miles on the clock. Absolutely love the car. The only issue that is just starting to rear its head is that sometimes when I get in and fire it up is that it doesn't allow me to change drive modes. I figure it's just a sensor thing and will put it in the shop and have that taken care of. It's a special car all around and I will probably never get rid of mine. We have essentially the exact same build... blue filter, oil seperators, Cup II's.

Current owner of a 2018 5.0 and considering a GT350 potentially this year.. I am in car sales and have noticed a somewhat dip in the market especially for my GT and the thought that a 2018 350 with 30-40k miles is in the mid to high 40’s is very tempting.. what’re you’re thoughts on RECARO seats vs non RECAROS and track vs tech pack cars.. should I just enjoy my 5.0.. I’ve only had it for a bit no longer than 6 months and I absolutely love it.. it’s orange fury and around 510 crank.. it ticks every box and I do not go down the road wishing I bought something different.. but 5k miles later I’m already rebuilding my MT82 and I blew it going 4mph so not because I was messing around or being dumb.. I’ve put 2000 of work/maintenance into it since I’ve owned it not including the trans rebuild.. I’m wondering if it would be long term wise to just get a better trans a motor package altogether and something that will hold its value ultimately.. what’re your thoughts??? Only at 60k on my odometer…

I had a California Special Mustang GT 5.0 whatever great car I enjoyed it but it just didn’t have what I wanted. Trade it on a BMW M4, but the cost on the maintenance after warranty out was astronomical …. So I had enough and looked around and found one at a dealership near me for decent price range of $52,000 USD Mileage was 20,100 … So I purchased today ! Thank you for your review. The GT 350 was by far the best Mustang I’ve ever owned. Question, my GT 350 also, consumed oil about a quart every 1400 miles. Does yours do the same, eating oil.

1. This can get over 20mpg, or less. Really good for a race car. Figure 15-17. 2. I ran Pirelli sottozero serie 2, 295 square in all temps. It will go in the snow and cold down to zero. A fun car, especially when it's hot and speeds are high with turns. This is built to go, not just for the appearance. A driver's car.

I would highly encourage you to get rid of the other two Mustangs in your garage and get a Porsche. I’m five years into Porsche ownership and they’re just different man. The looks/ styling, the build quality, the engine, the chassis and handling, the sound of the flat six engine when you rev it out, are all top notch.

That backstory looks a lot like what I'm going through! I'm 18, in my first job, living with my parents, making a fair amount of money for a first job. My dream is a Hyper Blue Camaro ZL1 or SS 1LE. ($40-60k). And I think I'll probably end up doing this same thing. Save for a "house" and then blow it 🤣 Love the car man

I’m thinking about buying one and when I do I have a question about the flap system. With the thing you installed to Keep them open does the flap switch still work if I wanted to keep it on “quiet” mode

Can you give us a breakdown on the proper care for this motor? I’ve seen a lot of posts about the engine being replaced because of improper usage (not letting car warm up to temp before beating on it, not using proper oil etc). This car seems like an amazing drivers car which is what I’ve been looking for. This car would be my daily driver though which is making me nervous and leaning towards a Camaro ZL1 instead. They seem to be more reliable.

Look its a sports car. The only way to make it last is to drive it like a grandmother. Thats what a sports car is. High maintenance, like my 2nd to last girlfriend ... kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5fXeqZrfad1hJosi=b4UnUWy5P_76Jvxr

Have you ever considered taking the stripes off / putting a different color on any of the cars? I have a white 2017 gt350 with blue stripes and Im thinking off swapping for black stripes. However, I also want to keep it pretty close to stock and white/blue is classic so I'm a bit torn on what to do. Great video as always, cheers from Dallas

Keep it factory, these cars are going to be extremely desired later in their factory form. Especially that color combs as it’s the OG.

@@169abr 100% those Stock, white/blue stripe combos will be sought after . I've probably already devalued mine I have a shit ton of mods making 826/626.

@@SkepticalVex depends, if you do the mods the right way and it works well there’s a good market for boosted cars. Fathouse cars aren’t anywhere near stock but hold their value very well.
