Looks like there was contact arcing. I suspect the contacts in the machine are also burnt out. I would have used copper sheet for that repair.

Problem is that the person only sent the motherboard so how can he repair the contacts in the machine? I agree with the copper sheet, that seems like the right thing to use to repair these types of traces.

That Master-Bend 5000 machine sells for around $33,000 new - even old ones fetch around $4.000 on secondhand auction sites.. It' looks like a digital CNC device with a 25A Baldor industrial motor - quite a bit of juice there, BTW a hammer a.k.a LART (large attitude readjustment tool) is quite useful on the customer-relations front as well ;-)

May want to mention to them that their connector socket might be damaged too; nothing you can do about that though...

Yeah. Someone will need to go onsite and replace the socket. Or send the board with the socket to Northridge to fix.

Its best to acquire a 2.5 ton Hydraulic Press for that purpose. Also, JB Weld it in place.

Rather than braid wick, get copper foil. It is used in stained glass making and is self adhesive too. Available in long rolls just like braid wick and in many different widths too.

Stencil jigs for pcbs to be heated and re train the pcb flatness to allow designed sling and thermal pad/ pressure to operate as intended

What you think about when you grind the slot using NF grinding tool, then you place that wick and glue it will make strong bond and you can keep surface evenly. Also what about the via ? I think its also connect to the another pad. 2nd one from right. Anyway you did a amazing job again. Good luck alex, from srilanka

If the socket was damaged also, I would wire these three connections of this board directly to the motherboard, but with connectors in the wires so you can disconnect the board from the motherboard when necessary.

After applying the glue i would've checked if the top side is still conducting or if the braid didn't suck the glue to the top.

There is many ways to fix this board. This one also is not bad. At least will hold longer than factory. I get thermal glue so i can glue pads first and then solder them. And i like this metod.

OCC used a pipe bender for motorcycle exhaust's. Those must be power pins that due to use/age got damaged.

The braid seems much thicker than the factory traces so I would be worried that when you plug the card into a slot that not all of the traces on the card will make good contact with the slot side of things since they are uneven heights.

Ideally yes, or solder a 3 way connector on flying leads to damaged board and splice other end of connector on 3 flying leads to loom inside machine (if that is possible).

I think the glue would saturate wick and stop it contacting properly, probably resulting in intermittent contact or arcing under load 👍

I would have scanned the board and converted it to a PCB and sent it to JLCPCB for them to make it. Then once I got the new board I would have transferred all the components over.

I would have run the strips completely with solder so that it doesn't become a bush at the bottom during installation and cause short circuits between them.
