Ah the “it’s always someone else’s fault driver”, Aman is spot on, when he was being “extra cautious “ it was really good driving. The more aggressive driving saved little to no time at significantly increased risk. It’s not worth it.

I think he has to learn many things. Firstly his aggression and impatience, secondly that a signal isn't a right of way, he mentioned multiple times in the video he had his signal on so it was his right of way and rather than getting into a near crash because somebody else did something wrong, he should be just like "hey that was stupid but I'll protect my self and hold back".

At Aman, I really thank you for putting on a good impression on us by not letting ihsan escape from his ‘mistakes’ At Ihsan, this one is for you mate. Let your ego go off. It takes you nowhere. Be patient and respectful towards others. Mistake is possibly done by everyone. You were 0% tolerant on other’s mistake and when you are at fault a big justification. No mate. Thats not how it works. Forget about India. People get four wheel license by just staying at home. I cannot teach you on road ethics as I got license just last august and started driving this january and I honestly feel how better I am after watching you driving for 20 mins. Be patient, be respectful there are people driving their super expensive cars and licensed for 30-40 years. This statement should be enough to pull you down to earth.

Using the horn so freely (and thinking it's fine) goes to show what sort of driver he is. I personally wouldn't want to go in the car with him as he'd be a road rage fight/crash waiting to happen.
@wrightwoodwork

He used the horn more in 10 minutes of driving than i have in 30 year's of driving The roundabout with the serious fault all he had to do was approach at a sensible speed and not race onto it. The car that emerged was not really a hazard at an appropriate speed and with just simply lifting off the throttle. It would clear with no real drama

@PointNemo9 he was trying to beat the car that he beeped at so he accelerated and cut the roundabout. Simple as that and drove over it . If he hadn't speed up he wouldn't need to cut the roundabout. Cutting over a roundabout is what you do when trying to beat someone. Argue all you want but you are missing the point that he was trying to beat the car so sped up then cut the roundabout. Going too fast does nor mean speeding

18:45 He can exit from the lane he is in onto lane 2 on the new road. He wants to change lanes and exit onto lane 1 of the new road. It is not possible for following drivers to know which of the two things his signal relates to. a simply exiting a roundabout or b changing lanes. He is often totally unable to understand situations from the other drivers perspective.

I think the aggressive part and the honking stuck with him from the days he drove in India, you can't reach a destination without being aggressive here. I'm a Indian license holder and we're not taught to even use the roundabouts though there are thousands of them here, we just wing it & speed limits are merely a suggestion. We just blast with 160kmph (100 mph ) on a 120 kmph Three-Lane Dual Carriageway and with no lane discipline whatsoever on an underpowered engine ( PS: we built most of these highways fairly recently, people don't know how to use them yet ). I just watch these videos to just experience what a well disciplined the traffic is. Still don't know how to use the roundabouts though like the rest of us here , but I'm trying to get to know about the "concept" from these videos.

great learning video - you are very generous marker imo, I'm an instructor and I think he would have failed many more times. the bus and lane change both I would mark as dangerous . don't use the horn unless you think the driver can't see you - . I know the wide camera makes it look faster and closer but if any learners watching are wondering this guy drives far too fast and has little time to brake and react. the test is easier to do if you slow a little, and stay in lane unless absolutely necessary. fantastic videos - I always point my learners to these videos great examples.

Hahah yeah I know you mean, I was giving him a serious fault for the use of the aggressive horn generally as it was very unnecessary. But I’m trying to stick to how an examiner would mark this in terms of these issues being a minor or serious The bus driving was very pushy even on the roundabout, a learner would never have kept with them to merge (plus busses there usually stay left)

@17:33 I just double checked the video, at that exact roundabout within 3 days of passing my test, while I was on the roundabout planning on going straight 2nd exit, a Range Rover cut me up from the inner roundabout lane, carving from my right to my left across the front of my car to take the exit before the one I was taking, I had to do so much assessment of my surrounding traffic situation and react all in a split second, luckily I checked I had clearance behind me and braked hard and down shifted while turning away from there car, and preparing to evade the paths of others approaching behind from on the roundabout because I'd had to almost bring my car to an emergency stop. Most time's, it's better to be slow and cautious rather than reckless and like that lunatic that almost took out my car within days of me passing my test.

Good luck with the car when you get it, and it's understandable to be somewhat afraid of fools like him on the road, it's a good job that by being highly aware of rules of the road, and your surroundings you can avoid bad drivers, I recommend that as well as gaining experience in your car, continue to watch instructors videos for about a year, try to at least watch one a week, then you will learn well how to be safe for yourself and others when you're on the road, bonus tip, meditation practice in your life can help bring a calmness and increased awareness that can be very helpful on your journeys on the road, and your journey through life 😊

Patience and get off that horn! Whilst you and the van driver are having a competition to see who has the biggest horn, there are other road users and you're unsettling them. The Bus Driver is an idiot, so keep out of his way. That Roundabout was big enough to go round properly, whether the old Lady should have waited or not is going to be the argument of the week on the thread! Calm down and enjoy safe driving.

Strictly speaking the answer to the question was partly wrong he said switch them on when it’s foggy and she said correct, but that’s not the case you switch them on when it’s foggy and visibility is less than 100m. It’s an offence for them to be on any other time including if it’s foggy but visibility is greater than 100m.

For that bus he’s absolutely at fault, he needs to be more patient, and lay off the horn for no reason. Took the roundabout wrong and presses on the horn for what exactly? He’s a horrible driver.

@@rjj00Can only use it to alert someone when u think a situation is dangerous. Its one thing to use a horn to alert a driver who might not realise their light has gone green but absolutely not to express that u r angry ....

He needs some instruction in defensive driving. Who cares whose fault or whose right of way it is? Of course drive to the priority of the road but if someone else isn't and you get injured in an accident that you could have done something to avoid even though it wasn't really your fault you're still injured or worse. Imagine yourself explaining to the nurse in the emergency department that it was your right of way and see if it still sounds like a good idea.
