This is exactly why I like my Skater Trainers. I get to practice the foot placement and flick motion without worrying about slipping out, slamming, or chasing my board down. It helps me break down the parts of an individual trick in a way that pairs well with Braille's way of teaching. I can get a ton of repetitions in without fear. You'll always learn it a *little* wrong since the forces you put on the board will be different with free-rolling wheels, but you'll be closer sooner. They beat carpet or grass, hands down.

FabTRAV man your foots going straight down. I dont know how you dont feel that haha. The board does a nose dive. Kick the damn flip. You know how to kickflip! Your foot goes a bit outside the nose. Its not a pushdown flip its a kickflip

I started on a piece of carpet in my garden I feel skater trainers help a complete novice learn some tricks without sliding out and start to build confidence which isn't going to help someone who can already skate but really help a novice who is cared to take a slam

I did SMS for about a month before I bought Skater Trainers. I think it helps. If nothing else it's a good confidence booster and lets you worry about the trick without worrying about slipping out. At the same time, I think if you can learn without them you would probably get a more solid feel for it faster. Just my 2.5 cents. Good video guys!

skater trainers would not help me. I learned my pop shuv it still and it took me like a week to readjust and had to pretty much relearn the trick. I always tell people to learn the trick moving but I do totally agree that is a good confidence booster if you are afraid tho.

Aaron's right. it is better learning/doing tricks while riding. stationary training is just best for people who just got in to skateboarding for the very first time. in other words, it's best for SUPER BEGINNERS. I'm slightly a beginner but it seems that I can catch my ollies better while rolling away. right now I'm practicing basic gapping like little curbs, 2 stairs, over another deck and over a rail. since i want to do something decent on a skatepark and not just flunking around and watch others progress.

I think skater trainers is a good idea. You don't want to tighten your wheels, because it will ruin your bearings. Practicing on a grass or anything soft won't give you a proper pop and it is also bad for your bearings. I already ordered skater trainers. Remember, they are only for growing your confidence.

Shane Webb a switch flip is still a kickflip it’s just doing it in the opposite stance than how you usually stand. Fabian rides goofy so his right foot is usually in front and he pushes with his left foot. Since he switched his stance up and is standing in the regular position which is the left foot in the front and pushing with his right foot he’s now doing a switch flip. Hope that made sense lol
