​@@DaimyoD0 the panel is heated first I believe. Helps to prevent the paint from cracking. Youd be suprised at what these guys can fix. Hail damage jobs are $$$

@@RealWorldShorts Yeah, and I imagine the striking tool has a smooth tip, and if I had to guess it's made of a polymer softer than metal to reduce scratching. I guess when you know what you're doing, any damage to the paint is only as deep as the clear coat, so it can easily be buffed out.

I've worked in a auto refinishers for 14 years. People don't realize how hard it is to remove a dent to bare metal standard... Let alone how hard it is to remove sharp dents without damaging paint. I've watched the painless repair lads do a few in the past but nothing as sharp as the dent this guy removed.. I'm actually impressed by a short for a change!

Pdr is such a badass skill. I used a cheap kit to fix my fiancée’s fender. After hours of just giving it a go I got the body lines to match up pretty good. Not perfect by any means but the process gave me a whole new respect for people that do this on a day to day basis. A whole different form of art in the body work community

I worked as an automotive tech, but my shop did body work as well and it’s crazy how much you can push out something or flex it and watch it come right back, especially with aluminum

I remember I tried to smoothen a dent on our camry when I was a kid (it was on the bumper, left rear corner) and safe to say, I got an ass whooping and the camry got a new bumper! PDR is truly an art

With minimal chemical exposure, excessive labor, etc of typical auto body. I was fortunate to work in a very high level shop the spring/summer before I was going to go to tech school for it and quickly learned, "fuck that," and make far more than an average auto body tech in white collar work today. Fuck that
