I'm a non-magician. I love watching magicians. I love trying to figure out how something was done. And knowing how something is done only helps to be impressed when execution is done near flawlessly. Sure filming at 120 or 240fps will show where some flashing occurs, but as Chris said, you won't see that in real life. especially when there is so much other stuff to be focused on. And it's cool that you are also critical of your self. Not so much in that...man i suck so look at how great i am, but more in the, I can still work on some things and just be "" that much better. Thanks for sharing your time!

I agree. If it was actually “magic” these tricks would be a whole lot easier to perform.

Same. If anything it lets me appreciate the mastery of technique needed to do a lot of these flourishes. It's not like a con or a trick where simply knowing how its done makes it mundane and boring. Even after knowing how these slight of hand moves are done I obviously wouldn't be able to reproduce them to the degree that Bao does. It reminds me of watching martial artists or gymnasts and being able to truly appreciate their mastery of their craft and control over even the smallest movements.

Dude, even in slow motion I'm still impressed!!! My love for magic is just that, a love. I grew up unable to wait for the next David Copperfield illusion. Hi praise....in all honesty it took me a couple of looks to catch those. Amazing slight of hand! It takes a lot of practice to be that good and only be caught on a slow motion camera that the normal eye could never see. I love the mechanics of it all....truly a great art.

Even when the secrete is revealed, the skill is still SO impressive! Like watching a gymnast perform. You can see everything they do, but, it's like... wow! How do they do that? I know it's with many hours of practice! Nice, very nice! Revealing how it's done does not take away from the show!

This video is really enjoyable. Props to the magicians willing to have their tricks foiled. Without slowing it down it all fooled me. Then the pen one made so much sense . Great video. We as magicians have to embrace technology and what it can do. We cant just ignore that we can slow down video and pretend like people arent at home doing it anyways. This is a great way to see ways to improve and besides, look at the comments down below, most people are still very impressed. Its nothing but a good thing to see videos like this. Some of that sleight of hand was super crazy though!

Combining slow mo with the zoom feature in beta on KZbin premium makes me almost feel like I could learn to do this stuff myself. But not quite. I just love the fact that y'all are legitimately showing people how to do this stuff instead of pretending it's some black art. It's just skills built from hundreds and thousands of hours of disciplined practice. To me that makes it even more impressive. Thumbs up!
