The only silver lining in this is that it might finally be the last straw that brings the older generations and any apologists on board with what the younger generations are doing. We can jeer at young people and tell them to open businesses when they cry for lack of jobs, while ignoring the increasingly hostile business environment forcing manufacturers to flee to other places. We can laugh when salaried employees get crushed with endless payroll taxes, leaving them with little disposable income. We can tell people they are lazy and should work harder when they complain about the astronomical cost of living. But when they finally come for the mugundas and plots, the one thing the older generations have that today's youth can only dream of one day acquiring. When they come for the one thing keeping many from destitution because at least walijenga and they can grow a little food and keep a few animals for their own sustenance. Maybe then people will finally see there's blood in the water, and decide they have had enough.

Legislatures who enact such laws do not represent the people and should explain who told them to come up with such laws, is it IMF? Austerity measures, austerity measures and wind up any state entity that is eating up taxes without making profits. How can a government borrow to the extent of paying 60% of revenue as interests? Who are being paid that 60% as interests on loans? Kenya can't live outside its financial means, Sri Lanka collapsed financially due to government overspending, Greece collapsed financially due to governments overspending. Money should be borrowed by people in business and not the government that relies on taxes. Kenya can't be managed by IMF, if it is because of loans, let Kenya live within its means.
