It's basically a power struggle between the European big clubs, UEFA and PL. Each and every group wants to protect and increase their value. Some wants to maintain the status quo. While some wants change. PL is literally a super league, so other European clubs wants a better financial benefit from the super league. Further, UEFA failure to control the state backed clubs and big European clubs losing grounds to PL clubs and state backed clubs have pushed this action. Let's see. I am keeping my mind open. Hope fans and players are the ultimate winners from any changes. Exciting time ahead, i guess.

Saying the lesson learned from 2 years ago was that it was closed league not including others, that statement alone shows they didn’t learn a damn thing from 2 years ago when just the idea of it was met with so much negativity & backlash! Any Nation/Football association that’s smart will come out ASAP and say we will not take part in any Super League developed in future & any club in our association that chooses to will no longer be in this country’s Football Association! What’s chance England, Germany, France, and others do that? It’d show they are Serious, have Strong BackBone (Balls to do it), and become example for other nations that would follow suit!

Manchester United are not interested because we do not support it. Fair game and sanctioning teams is why football overall hasn't entirely spiraled. Sure mistakes are made and perhaps some policies need a bit of an update in more modern times but games have rules for a reason including Monopoly. Once you take them out and allow La Liga of all leagues to do whatever they want and run riot in the footballing world then you entirely destroy the sport of football. You don't always have to agree with UEFA or the FA I often don't but they're totally right on this specific matter. Long term this could have a very negative outcome for football as a hole, especially less fortunate teams who are still able to compete because of the rules in place.

I totally disagree that the only problem 2 years ago with what happened was PR. The fans of the clubs didn't want it then and still don't want it now. Having 4 divisions of a European Super League entity, 80 clubs, which would still be a closed shop just with more clubs in it, just wouldn't work. Would say Aston Villa want to replace playing against Wolves, Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Fulham, and Brighton, with games against FC Zurich, RB Salzburg, Lille, Sevilla, and Atalanta? Forgetting about the extra expense of travel between these places, and the fact that it would be like playing every week in European competition, which is draining on the players, I just don't see this as being attractive to the clubs themselves, let alone the fans. I keep seeing comments about people not from England saying they don't go to games anyway so it doesn't matter to them, that's fine, they support the league, they support clubs that have players maybe from their countries, but in the end the majority of the the clubs receive is from TV money the majority of which is from Sky Sports. Sure the Premier League have been good at selling the product around the world and revenue from that has been increasing, but it will pales in significance to what is paid domestically. I also don't see the Premier League and the majority of their clubs giving up this advantageous position without a fight. I don't have Sky, it's too expensive, I watch the odd game on TNT Sports (formerly BT Sports) and maybe Amazon Prime (if I have that when they happen to have games), but I just don't see how this is going to get funded and even if it ever came to be I would still support my local team, one not in this 60-80 club monstrosity, and I think everyone, whatever they are in the world should support their local club and not just one in a far away land just because it has superstars playing in it.

I’m not a fan of the ESL or UEFA and quite honestly both organisations can do one. I’d prefer if the ESL didn’t happen but if it did then only way this is going to work is the following. The most important, is that the ESL has to be independently governed so that it can sanction clubs who are blatantly corrupt and break financial rules. From the A22 proposals 1) You have 64 teams in both men and women’s competitions. 2) Instead of three leagues you have four leagues with 16 teams each. 3) The promotion and relegation system should be increased to three team’s minimum. I do like that in the bottom league at least 20 teams will be relegated from the men’s at 8 from the women’s though. 4) They also need to introduce a strict salary and transfer fee cap so that no team can outspend each other and players aren’t paid ridiculous salaries. 5) The streaming platform is a great idea as long as it remains free forever.

I was against the old closed format but this one I’m open to it because it’s an open league, promotion & relegation which were needed for it to work. However I believe European Super is just beginning for it with EU Countries, then expand in to rest of Europe,Asia & Africa then it would expand to Oceana Countries along with North,South and Central American Companies which would be end goal in my view. Free for football & club supporters would be good as well. Refs will need more training tho & to be more transparent tho. I believe it’s now a possibility of worldwide league that benefits football clubs, supporters as when Saudi Arabia eventually join it money would be lot for clubs. One day I could Swansea playing Cardiff on Boxing Day then playing NYC Red Bulls on 2 of January then playing South Africa pirates in a international football club cup with everyone joining first round last two remaining would be in a final and then winning team wins.
