"Old Asian Man Costume" is so accurate. I never knew my grandfather, but my dad was a shutterbug when he was younger, and there's this photo of my grandad in his clinic (he was as doctor), wearing that. Well, not wife-beaters, because he was a bit more classy, his undershirt has short sleeves.

As I've gotten older, I've started to naturally make more noise when I sneeze, but not because I'm in pain, but just because my mind is naturally becoming more chill and so I give less and less of a fuck about doing things normally. It's kinda weird but also liberating.

Why do I feel this so much? Both my parents sneeze really loudly with post-sneeze-soundeffects, embarrassing enough for an acquaintance to not greet my dad and pretended not to know him when they saw my dad sneeze in public. Luckily, I only need to explain stuff to my mom. Google images and google translate are my best friends, y'all.

That's one thing I can say about my parents, they don't annoy me in any way! They don't make weird noises, they don't ask me stupid questions, they don't make any demands on me at all. Because they're dead. You don't even realize you'll miss that stuff until it can't happen anymore.

I'm 60, white, from rural northeast Canada. I find Asian comics' stories of their parents so relatable. Far moreso than white American comics whose mothers never threw a slipper at them. Maybe I just never knew my mother was Asian! She looked pretty white. Lol

@@erfho8y just cuz it’s America doesn’t mean the audience has to be diverse. People just tend to lean towards people that are like them. I’m asian and a lot of the youtubers I watch are asian

It's funny you say that because I just got back from his show and he actually said he exaggerates his Dad's chinese accent in his bits and his dad doesn't have a chinese accent at all.
