As we all know, Frustration is the reverse of Return, getting weaker as your PKMN gains Friendship with you and being at its strongest when that Friendship is at rock bottom. However, should you manage to evolve that Buneary below or at the Level she'd learn Frustration, she will instead learn Return in its place, and it will be at max power.

Ok but, i'll be serious here. Im a teacher, so i can explain why this happens a lot (English is not my first lenguage, I'm sorry in advance). Learning is divided in two ways, in Spanish we call them "Aprendizaje por memorización" (Memorizing Learning), and "Aprendizaje Significativo" (Significant Learning). The first one is when you learn by repetition, you memorize the tools that you need for living, even when you don't really like the subject of study, or even when the subject of study doesn't interest you at all. You force your brain to simply absorb the information, and it is always difficult to use what you have learnt this way. HOWEVER, Significant Learning is superior and the TRUE goal (Kind off) of education. Your brain instantly absorbs once and for all any bit of information you find interesting, and, at the same speed, your brain also learns how to successfully use said information. So, as long as something is interesting enough for you, you will always focus better on it, learn it faster, and put it on practice better than any kind of class or information that you don't actually like or find interesting. Good teachers know about this, and that is why, decent teachers use problems and examples of things you like to cheat and make you learn stuff that usually you don't find appealing. Like, do you have problems at math and you are a fan of poke-waifus? A good teacher will use approaches such as: How many different species of poke-waifus are currently on the "ghost-type" archetype and what is the percentual difference between said number and the current number of poke-waifus in the "fighter-type" archetype?. ETC ETC ETC.

Lopunny can evolve in the wild by forming strong bonds with other lopunny. But because it's a wild pokemon it would take years for them to get to a certain level where evolution was possible. Whereas with a trainer, this can range from a few months down to weeks, or even just days.

Yes, but according to Gardevoir's pokedex entry, it's a very loyal pokemon that cares for it's trainer. Enough that it's willing to risk it's own life to protect them. It can also see the future, let alone reading your mind. But considering it's absolute loyalty to the trainer, I imagine just asking it would be enough to prevent such an accident. That, combined with it's physical appeal is why I believe many people (Myself Included) are followers of Gardevoir, despite her being a PokeMilf. The affection point about Lopunny is just wrong. You can only get a Lopunny by maxing out the Friendship stat of your Buneary. In fact, in certain versions of the game, Buneary learns Frustration at around Level 12, but if you raise that Friendship and evolve her, that Lopunny will instead learn Return, the move that increases in power based on that Friendship stat, maxing out to be one of the stronger Normal type moves. A Lopunny that you've been with long enough WILL love you for life. And be able to beat the crap out of anything that isn't a Ghost like best girl Mimikyu.

In the pokemon universe, if I'm not mistaken, humans are a divergent form of a pokemon evolution. So technically, a human banging a pokemon in the poke-verse isn't too unethical...somewhat. Coupled with the fact that pokemon can not only understand human speech, but also understand complex topics and respond to them, they can give consent. However, since most pokemon are generally wild, with few exceptions like Meowth from team rocket making an attempt at integrating with human society (which he only did to impress another pokemon to start with), you'd run into the dilemma of whether or not it was actually consensual. As the pokemon is often forcefully (although they do enjoy fighting, which is why pokemon fighting can occur in the first place) domesticated, so the situation could be seen as grooming. Then there's also the topic of whether or not pokebrothels, which absolutely would be a thing in thee poke-verse are ethical, but also to what types and what stage of evolution would it be considered ethical. A simple r34 search shows that there are a considerable amount of people who find Pikachu to be hot enough to bang. Google also says that a pikachu is 1'4" or roughly 40cm for those who haven't stepped on the moon yet. That's of a small thing to bang. Pichu is also considered bang-able by the internet, and thats even smaller as well as thinner while raichu is taller than both combined. While I focused on the size of the anatomical nature of said pokemon in this TED talk, you also need to remember that it's also one that can produce enough amperage via its electric shock to kill someone. Well, to answer your question to the first. It's been mentioned that pokeballs in universe only work to foster 'friendship' between human and pokemon. In BW team Plasma claims that it works similar to a mind control device, and this may very well be the case. But it seems the intended effect of a pokeball is to act as both a pacifying device as well as a portable capsule to make it easier for pokemon to travel with their trainer (fun fact, it is due to the invention of the pokeball why trainers are able to even get 6 on a team, because before it would have been harder to travel with even one pokemon). Drayden, one of the Unova gym leaders, also state that a pokemon still has their own free will in such a state. Such that if you're a bad trainer (your freindship level falling too low), your pokemon might just opt to leave your side. Most pokemon recognize humans, and some will actively challenge trainers to see if they are worthy enough to become partners. A pokemon that doesn't want to get caught will actively refuse to be caught, seen in anime as launching the pokeball back at the trainer. And we have evidence that a pokemom can abandon its trainer, with Ash's Snivy being a prime example of this having abandoned her trainer prior to being caught by the protagonist. In summation. Pokeballs are capture and transport devices that can pacify pokemon, but it does not take away a pokemon's will. And a pokemon can so choose to, at any time for whatever reason, abandon their trainer if they deem them an unworthy partner. If your pokemon stops listening to your commands, it's likely a sign they don't trust you anymore and don't see you as competent enough to listen to. Trust me on this. I'm a lopunny. I know these things.

Excellent lecture as always professor, but I feel you neglected to mention one important Pokemon. Zoroark. With Zoroark, you still have the same ability of shapeshifting that you get with Ditto, though without the detriment of the eyes. Instead of the blank stare that you get with the resident breed king/queen, you get these sultry bedroom eyes. And granted, instead of full form shifting, you only get illusions. This is arguably better though, as while you get the appearance of anything you want, you're still experiencing the zoroark, which, in my opinion, makes it a lot more intimate. And on top of all that, when all is said and done, it's likely nice and furry, making it perfect for cuddling.

To be honest the fact that people don't do it anymore kinda goes against your point. Either people find it repulsive in the modern era or something. To put in perspective there's some really weird real life rituals involving animals. There was a celtic ritual in which an Irish king would symbolically marry a white horse, have sex with it and than the horse would be sacrificed, it's meat thrown in a bath which the king bathed, and the people would eat it. Obviously no modern Irish leader would ever partake in something like that. A bit more extreme but it begs the question why it doesn't happen in the modern Pokemon world.

The relationship between trainer and pokemon is that of a mentor and student. "You teach me and I teach you". Plus, as of gen 5, in game lore states that a pokemon is very well capable of abandoning their trainers. They have enough self awareness to recognize a bad relationship and leave if they so choose. A pokemon is able to leave their pokeball at anytime as well. Alot of the stuff in game is kind of limited by gameplay as well, because it'd be a bad mechanic to have your pokemon not listen to you in crucial points in battle. But it's assumed that if your pokemon has a low enough friendship then they'll stop following your commands and toss you aside, because they no longer trust you. (At least as confirmed in the anime)

Even the most animal like pokemon, Rhyhorn, can still understand and communicate somewhat despite their intelligence being more on par with animals in our world. Pokemon are even capable of building tiny communites as evidenced by the Pokemon Village in Gen 6. Which was a village built by pokemon in hiding, found by Wulfric. What they lack however is novel thought. Since they are a part of nature, they can't come up with novel concepts like humans can. A good example of this is how Coco showed his adpotive parent Zarude how to grow fruit. Where Zarude's response was "I've never thought of that", despite his abilites having the power to speed up the process of plant growth. On that topic, pokemon also have their own language as evidenced by the fact that there are humans in game that can communicate with them such as N and Valerie. In the anime and some instances in the game it is even shown that pokemon are indeed even capable of human speech if they know the language. Meowth is the prime example for this, using up 3 move slots in order to learn speech. Then there's Bill in game, while trapped in the form of an eevee, he's still capable of speech. Other pokemon are either keen on using telepathy such as Tapukoko or Zoroark, which can empersonate a human down to speech, behavior, and looks. A hiker in gen 5 is a zoroark that tells you the story of another zoroark who used to live in Lostlorn. Pokemon are far more varied and complex than any child, and certainly far more thoughtful than any animal. That's what makes them mysterious, because of that complexity. Most pokemon know what humans are and what trainers are. So it isn't that unusual for a pokemon to want to team up with a trainer in order to grow and get stronger, and even evolve. The same process in the wild can take a pokemon years, and certain conditions like evolution stones or 'high friendship'/'high affection' aren't easy to come by in the wilderness.
