Very thoughtful of you to buy the flowers for your mother! Also, very thoughtful to dedicate the song to your faithful dog. Truly, a woman's best friend. This area of China appeals to me, seems like much of the western U.S. I enjoyed this video especially because roses have always been a favorite part of my garden.

You must have a "winning" personality. As a wholesale flower farm, they really didn't need any publicity, and as you mentioned, it took awhile to get an interview. But they ended up giving you the run of the place, a huge bouquet of flowers, and inviting you for dinner!

i gave up growing roses. They are such a pain. Fungus, inserts,,,,,... I am not in the right region. I didn't like the idea of spraying (too much chemical). Evidently, greenhouse is a good way of growing. I have visited the west coast of USA. It seems that region is great for roses. Even my mom (plant killer) can grow them. Maybe I'll try the Old-Fashioned varieties (supposed to be hardy and more disease resistance) in a few years when I retired.
