Hey there! Incoming Stanford frosh here. I'm curious about ITALIC. Would you recommend it to someone interested in the performing arts and wanting to major in theater/music?

I would!! It’s mostly theory and exploration of a variety of art forms so I gained a lot of appreciation for a bunch of fields including a lot of performing arts which I hadn’t gotten to experience before. There was a huge music and performance presence in the program my year (but that changes based on the current year group), it was cool!

Also, if you’re a part of italic, you have a good shot at being connected to the majority of the arts community on campus, so even afterwards, when you put on stage performances, or direct your own shows, there will always be italic people involved in most of the arts aspects
