Did you know this place was supposed to be a real Disneyland? After DL opened, some Japanese guy who happened to run a entertainment company visited and was impressed. He talked to Walt Disney if he would be interested in bringing one to Japan. Walt loved the idea and plans/construction started. However, they couldn't agree on prices so the idea was scrapped. But Walt was fine with the park continuing under a new name, as it was near complete.

All the park goers went to Dis Dylan’s instead and this park lost business and went out. Had the licensing agreement not fallen through, this would have been open as Disneyland Tokyo right now.

No, actually the japanese head of entertainment guy visited Disneyland and loved it so he decided to build one in Japan. After everything was built he asked walt to sign the agreements but Walt declined! So characters were supposed to be disney were changed to completely different characters. The drawings on the ground are the park’s mascots, they’re children in English soldier suits. Nothing like Mickey. Plus the owner worked with Walt to make the park but when the park was near complete they couldn’t settle on licensing so, the owner of the park changed the name from Nara Disney land to Nara dreamland.

there is an abbandon amusment park in Colorado where I live. Its called Water Park idk why. But it shut down in like 2009 because to many people got shot and there was too many drug dealers there and it was super sketchy.

This gave me the nervous feels in my stomach that you get when you're a kid exploring somewhere you're not meant to go. Or when just you're pretending to go on an epic but "dangerous" adventure with a friend! That was so, so awesome! That's got to be one of the coolest abandoned places I've ever seen. Amazing!

The park was meant to be a real disney land. The original owner worked with Walt disney until they had arguments over licencing. So many things are officially licenced through that
